'American Idol': Kelsie Dolin evicted, fans say ‘judges need to stop taking stimulants’
The fans of ‘American Idol’ were left fuming after singer Kelsie Dolin got evicted from the show in the latest episode of Season 20. Titled as the ‘Showstoppers’, the latest episode saw contestants battling for the Top 24 spot a day after they showed their exceptional singing skills in the duets round.
Kelsie Dolin, who became a fan favorite after she revealed how nervous she has been all her life over performing on stage, failed to leave a lasting impression on the judges namely Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie. The trio felt she was not prepared enough to grab a coveted spot on the Top 24 list. This left social media users furious as they logged into Twitter and claimed that Kelsie was clearly robbed. Her duet partner Betty Maxwell too got eliminated from the show.

Reacting to Kelsie Dolin not securing a spot in the Top 24, one user stated, “Bummed that Kelsie got sent home”, as another mentioned, “Kelsie, Betty, so many others were better than these two country boys. The judges need to stop taking stimulants.” One user stated, “No offense but some of the people making top 24 I would take out and switch with people like Kelsie or Yoli or Sam Moss.”
The next one said, “I can’t believe they put nasty attitude scarlet in over sweet Betty and Kelsie Dolan this show is awful.” Meanwhile, one tweeted, “KELSIE WAS ROBBED.” One user added, “Hope AI will continue to work with Kelsie in some way, help her stand...she was almost there.
