Even though the singing was not much liked by the fans online but Katy was sold in no time. She gave a standing ovation to the singer and showered him with praises. Listening to her praises a few fans took to the Reddit thread and asked the question, "Why are they gaslighting Matt so hard? Like… don’t encourage him as there is literally no way he can make a future with his voice. He is a fine singer in a crowd of 100, but he is not good enough." Another claimed, "He hasn’t been a huge standout to me this far, so the absolutely glowing feedback from the judges has been surprising." Another called out the singer, "I don’t get it are they trying to make being married Matt’s storyline??? It’s not a very good storyline." She recently uploaded a video where the star is seen talking with one of the contestants. The contestant Haven Madison admitted on the show, "I watch the show and I would have never even thought that it was this intense." Despite being sensitive, Katy made fun of the singer saying, "Wait 'til they put music behind this." Seeing Katy being ignorant towards the emotion, a fan commented, "You've been really snappy lately.... I hope all is well or you feel better."
