Considering it's the landmark 20th anniversary of 'American Idol', the showrunners pulled out all stops to make the season a memorable one. From roping in the likes of Bebe Rexha and Carrie Underwood as guest mentors to Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, and record producer Finneas as a guest performer on the singing competition show.

For the singing competition's Top 5 round, Finneas took to the stage to perform his new song 'Naked'. While it seemed like Finneas and the top 5 contestants were thoroughly enjoying the performance, unfortunately, fans weren't impressed by his act. Several fans took to Twitter complaining how the visuals and flashing lights during Finneas' performance was triggering vertigo and migraines.

Aside from the 'trippy visuals', fans felt that Finneas' performance was on the whole pretty bad. A fan shared, "I don’t know what the hell that was, other than complete garbage. Absolutely horrendous! @finneas #AmericanIdol," expressed a fan. "Finneas got me feeling like i'm on an acid trip #americanidol," revealed a fan. "Finneas should stick with writing and playing instruments for Billie Eilish. #americanidol," suggested a fan.

This wouldn't be Finneas' first sting on 'American Idol'. The Grammy-winning record producer was featured in a previous season as a guest mentor to the contestants. On the current season of 'American Idol' the top 5 contestants- Fritz Hager, Leah Marlene, HunterGirl, Noah Thompson, and Nicolina Bozzo, are vying for a spot in the finale. Finneas advised the current roster of Top 5 contestants to continue dreaming big and assured them that they would have successful careers in the music industry.

'American Idol' Season 20 airs every Sunday at 8/7c on ABC.
