ARMOREL, ARKANSAS: Marybeth Byrd is taking her 'angel' voice to 'American Idol' season 21. After enjoying a successful run on 'The Voice' season 17, the singer is all set to make her way into another singing competition. She has also shown her excitement on social media.

Marybeth's voice and versatility took her to the semifinals (Top 8) on 'The Voice' 2019. Since then, Marybeth has never stepped back and is working hard to inspire young talents around the globe. In the preview of the auditions, 'American Idol' judges, Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie were left impressed with the Marybeth's singing skills. Her audition was scheduled to premiere on February 19, 2023, but fans can see her in episode 2 of the ABC Network show.

Marybeth Byrd's life after 'The Voice'

The 21-year-old singer-songwriter rose to fame after she made it to the semifinals of 'The Voice' season 19 with the help of her coach, John Legend, and co-mentors — Usher and Taylor Swift. After 'The Voice' gave her the stage to live her childhood dream, she achieved several milestones in both her career and personal life. She was honored with the Young Artist of the Year award from the Arkansas Country Music Awards in 2021. Marybeth also works as an evening radio host at the MIX106.3 radio station in Arkansas and offers vocal lessons. Additionally, she volunteers for the community, makes dozens of appearances, and offers her music services for birthday parties, festivals, general get-togethers, restaurants, and other events. Marybeth is currently an online student at Arkansas State University and a member of the Class of 2023. The rising star balances her schedule while pursuing her dream. However, Marybeth wants to be a role model for other young artists trying to find their sound, confidence, and way in the tough industry of music. Marybeth's debut single, 'Truly Livin' was released in January 2022. She dedicated the song to 'anyone out there who is struggling with the loss of a loved one.' Meanwhile, her second single, 'Just Ain’t Right' dropped on February 10, just a week before Idol’s Feb. 19 Season 21 premiere.

Marybeth is among the other contestants who auditioned for 'American Idol' season 21. The official Instagram account of 'American Idol' previously shared a short clip of her audition. In the preview, Luke Bryan praised her, saying, "In the country world, Marybeth Byrd is sticking out to me." He added, "She’s kinda one of those sneaky, good people, and has a super country voice." Luke also said that 'when she start singing, there's this magic and I see a very bright future.' Whether Marybeth got the golden ticket for Hollywood will be revealed on the next episode of 'American Idol' 2023.

'American Idol' season 21 episode 2 will premiere at 8 pm ET on Sunday, February 26, 2023. It will be available on Hulu the next day.
