Born in Boston and raised in Chicago, Zack Schor found his calling, which brought him to Orange County and take acting lessons from Keith Bogart. After multiple gigs in production, cinematography, writing and acting, he found himself in a project that could become the highlight of his career. He has appeared earlier in ‘Dinner for 4’ and ‘The Beyond’.

Relatively a new actor on the block, Zack Schor’s acting career is soon to hit the upward curve. He will soon be seen in the upcoming historical drama-thriller on Amazon called the ‘Hunters’, which follows events of the Holocaust.

We got into a candid conversation with Schor and got to know more about the actor, his journey from a Chicago to Los Angeles, working with some of the industry’s finest, and becoming a part of a project that left a mark on human history.

How was it like working with Al Pacino and that too so early in your career?
As you said, Al Pacino is a legend. The breadth of his work and his talent is unbelievable. When I first learned I'd be playing a younger version of his character, it was surreal, to say the least. While I didn't have the advantage of seeing his scenes, because we were often shooting simultaneously, I knew his work would be incredible and that I would have to work incredibly hard and, with that in mind, I kind of let it all go; I focused on my process and prepared to play my character with as much truth as I could manage.

Earlier, you have worked on two different genres. Which one would you say is more challenging, comedy, sci-fi or historical drama?
I think each genre has aspects that are easy and challenging. But ultimately, if the writing is good and the character makes sense to me, it’s all really the same. Whether it’s a tiny, human drama, or a big, spectacle-driven epic, an actor’s job is fundamentally the same: be emotionally truthful.

So what’s next for Zack Schor?
Still deciding my next acting gig! In the meantime, I have a couple of different writing projects I’m excited about to be working on. So, definitely a few irons in the fire, but we’ll see what takes off first.

Watch out for Zack’s upcoming show, ‘Hunters’, on Amazon Prime in 2020.
