Who is Alexandra Saper?
Alexandra Saper specializes in helping women overcome limiting beliefs and build the fulfilling, radical, self-love-filled life of their dreams. Six years ago, she was trapped in a dysfunctional marriage, a career as a corporate lawyer she loathed, tens of thousands of dollars in student loan debt, and a completely meaningless life. She battled depression and spent most of her time trying to conform to how her life was"supposed" to be.
In 2018, she sold everything she owned, quit her job as a corporate lawyer, and has since been living in Bali, Indonesia. She said, "Across all my stories, you’ll find one common thread: a desire to be known and to know the world around me. To be real and honest, and to take the tougher, messier roads that lead to meaningful connections and deep personal growth."
Who is this alleged ‘stalker’?
Robert James Keating, a 38-year-old retired transport authority employee from Horsham, West Sussex, England, is the source of her terror, she claims. In 2022, she claimed that she received abusive comments and messages on her Instagram posts from an unknown source. As an influencer, she is used to hearing comments from complete strangers on the internet. But the intimidation from this man has reached a whole new level, she says. She is now seriously worried about her safety.
Alexandra alleged, “He started sending me creepy texts about a year ago, so I blocked him from my Instagram. He set up new accounts to stalk me. He found my email address and sent hundreds of messages and videos threatening to kidnap me. They were also vulgar and sexually explicit. I ignored it until he arrived in Bali.” According to one video, Keating planned to sexually abuse a "nice, innocent young girl" while making Alexandra watch. He also stated that he would retain her in a house in Bali.
Her email address was discovered by him after she blocked him on social media. Alexandra continued to receive all emails, as emails blocked on Gmail are directed to a spam folder. The "extreme amount of harassment" got worse as the months went by. She claimed that there were communications depicting his plan to kidnap her. Footage of him showing his intent to sexually assault her.
The alleged 'stalker' answers Alexandra's allegations
On January 29, Keating showed up in Indonesia, but that was no surprise to her. He also sent Alexandra various videos and texts he sent her with information about his trip and visa. He also included a picture of a red suitcase with a person inside and an arm sticking out of the zipper to show the popular influencer how his strategy would work.
Both Alexandra and Keating then made portions of their communications public as the unusual situation played out on social media. In response to Alexandra, he posted a series of his own films on Instagram in support of his decision to travel to Bali.
Keating told New York Post that Alexandra had invited him to Bali before ghosting him but she denies having any interaction with him. While without explicitly addressing the question, "Are you stalking Alexandra Saper?" he gave the same photograph of the red suitcase and acknowledged sending it to Alexandra as well.
With the support of prominent local activist Niluh Djelantik, who works to protect Balinese culture and all islanders from disrespectful foreigners, Alexandra Keatings reported threats to Indonesian police. The police told her that they could not take action because Keating had not physically assaulted her. Instead, Alexandra said, authorities allegedly sent her for a psychological evaluation to find evidence of her fear.
Meanwhile, Alexandra had to make the difficult decision to depart from her Bali home. She is presently in another unnamed nation. She said, “As a trained lawyer, I have resources and despite all this I can’t even feel protected.”
