Adam Kinzinger reveals VILE death threats to wife Sofia, 5-month-old son for being on Jan 6 panel
Illinois Republican representative Adam Kinzinger took to Twitter to show the death threat that his wife, Sofia, received through a letter. The letter threatens to execute Kinzinger and mentions that Sofia and their baby will be joining Adam in hell too. The 44-year-old, a Republican from Channahon, posted the letter on Sunday, June 19, and spoke about it on ABC's ‘This Week with George Stephanopoulos,' while discussing his work on the January 6 committee.
As he shared the letter, Kinzinger, who is one of only two Republicans on the committee, wrote, “Here is the letter. Addressed to my wife, sent to my home, threatening the life of my family. The Darkness is spreading courtesy of cowardly leaders fearful of truth. Is the what you want @GOP? Pastors?” The letter read, “Sofia, You are one stupid (slur)! That pimp you married not only broke his oath, he sold his soul. Yours and Christian's Too! Adam's activities have hurt not only his country, but countless patriots and God fearing families. Therefore, although it might take time, he will be executed. But don't worry! You and Christian will be joining Adam in hell too! We find it blasphemous that you name the son of the devil Chistian (sic)!"

Kinzinger's take on threat
As per reports by Yahoo, he said, "This threat that came in, it was mailed to my house. We got it a couple of days ago, and it threatens to execute me, as well as my wife and 5-month-old child. We've never seen or had anything like that. It was sent from the local area." He, who represents Illinois' 16th congressional district, further said that he is not worried about his safety, but is concerned about his wife and five-month old son. "I don't worry – but now that I have a wife and kids, of course, it's a little different," the representative said. "There's violence in the future, I'm going to tell you. And until we get a grip on telling people the truth, we can't expect any differently," he concluded.
A spokesperson for Kinzinger reportedly said that they are taking extra precautions for the Congressman's family.
Jan 6 House committee
The House committee, which is created to investigate the Jan 6 attack on the Capitol, is made up of nine members of the House. Seven Democrats and two Republicans, including Kinzinger, are on the bipartisan committee. Each was appointed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after McCarthy retracted his choices.
As the Jan 6 House committee continues to hold its public hearings about its investigation into the Capitol siege, a new Ipsos/ABC News poll found that a majority of Americans believe former President Donald Trump should be criminally charged for his role in the Capitol riot.
