American actor and comedian Bob Saget was found dead in his Florida hotel room in January 2022. Medical examiners concluded that he died of accidental head trauma, but social media users started circulating a video that suggested Saget predicted his death. The TikTok video circulating on Facebook featured a conversation between Saget and his wife, Kelly Rizzo.
"This gave me chills. Listen to what he says..." said the text on the video. "How come no one has brought this up? #fyp #foryou #bobsaget #setup #prediction," the user who posted the video on Facebook captioned it. In the video, Saget can be seen smiling as he says, "So I don't have long to live, if these are your favorites? I'm going to be found dead in bed." Rizzo joked back and said, "Better watch out." The clip was from a video Saget posted on his YouTube channel in 2021. The video was titled, "Kelly Rizzo and Bob Discuss How They Met & Her Brand/Production Company 'Eat Travel Rock'" and was more than an hour and a half long. The couple starts discussing binge-watching TV shows during the pandemic from the 47:29 time stamp after Saget asks Rizzo if she misses quarantine.
"You love five movies. You love 'Big Lebowski' every day. You could watch 'Big Lebowski' four times a day," said Saget, to which Rizzo replied, "That's not true. I love 'Big Lebowski,’ 'The Godfather,' 'Wayne's World,' 'Godfather II,' 'Goodfellas,' 'Casino,' 'Scarface.'" Saget then joked, "So I don't have long to live, if these are your favorites. I'm going to be found dead in bed." Rizzo then said, "You better watch out... So, I don't know, maybe it brings back that like cozy quarantine feeling that we had, but there's something I love about just binging the shows with you." The supposed "prediction" turned out to be a joke about Rizzo's favorites being majorly crime dramas.
"Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities' investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us. The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma. They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved," read Saget's publicist Michael O'Brien's statement.
The statement from Joshua Stephany, Chief Medical Examiner of Orange and Osceola counties said, "In consideration of the circumstances surrounding the death and after examination of the body, toxicology analysis, histology, and a respiratory pathogen panel, it is my opinion that the death of Mr Saget, was the result of blunt head trauma. His injuries were most likely incurred from an unwitnessed fall. A toxicology analysis did not reveal any illicit drugs or toxins. The manner of death is accident. Our condolences go out to Mr Saget's loved ones during this difficult time."
The 65-year-old was found unresponsive in his bed at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando hotel on January 9. After Saget failed to check out, a hotel security officer entered his room and called 911 after finding him unresponsive. Paramedics came to the scene and the 'Full House' star was pronounced dead.
