SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA: Abby Coleman is still healing from the pain of losing her two children after her husband Mathew Coleman allegedly killed them. It was on August 7, 2001, when Abby's life changed for the worse as she was packing for a family camping trip. As per authorities, Matthew suddenly decided to take his two kids with him, Kaleo, 2, and Roxy, 10 months. He put them both in a van and drove far away from their home in Santa Barbara, California.

Out of concern, Abby called the cops, and according to the FBI’s criminal complaint, she then told authorities that there was no rift between the couple, and they weren’t arguing either. Abby also said that she doesn’t believe her husband Matthew will harm their kids and believe they will all eventually return home. However, police record show he didn’t return, and in fact, the accused drove the kids to Mexico. It claims that Mathew after two days in the country, took the children to a ranch and shot them dead with a spearfishing gun, and returned to his hotel after a few hours on August 9, 2021. He was arrested while crossing the US border by the authorities.

As per the FBI’s criminal complaint, Matthew reportedly told the police that he was motivated by the QAnon conspiracy theory, and the affidavit also states that he had other delusions too. The alleged theory claims that ex-president Donald Trump is facing a cabal of Satan-worshipping pedophiles at the top brass of political power and other influences. "He said visions and signs revealed that his wife, A.C. [Abby Coleman], possessed serpent DNA (M. COLEMAN mentioned that he was not sure if his wife was a shapeshifter) and had passed it onto his children and that all things were pointing to the idea that his children have corrupted DNA that will spread if something is not done about it," according to the affidavit, reports People.

Though Abby was not an orthodox QAnon follower, she did share some of its beliefs. According to the text messages exchanged between the couple on August 7, 2021, she asked him to take care of their children, "We are doing this together, babe. Praying for clarity over you and your mind this morning. Everything you've believed and known to be true is happening right now. I'm partnering with you from [Santa Barbara]. Let's take back our city,” she wrote. “The gateway of revival for the state of California and the nation and the world You were created to change the course of world history. Take care of my little giant slayer and the voice of heaven's dove. They sure are special."

"Her life ended that day — the life that she had, and the plans that she had made for herself and her family," said a family friend who is still connected with Abby. "He destroyed her that day." The mother, now 36, lives with her family members in Texas. Another friend suggests that she is still trying to get herself together, "She's trying to heal, and has very conflicting feelings. One day, she will express some pity and concern for Matthew, and other days, she never wants to see him again."

Matthew, 41, has denied federal charges of murdering US nationals on foreign soil. He is under arrest and his location is kept a secret while he underwent psychological testing to understand his present state of mind.
