Aaron Carter's twin sister Angel Conrad files to be administrator of his $550K estate as singer left no will
LANCASTER, CALIFORNIA: Angel Conrad, Aaron Carter's twin sister, has applied to be the administrator of his estate and is currently taking care of his ashes. The 'Fool's Gold' singer left no will when he was discovered dead in his bathtub on November 5 at the age of 34 in Lancaster, California. The official reason for his death has not yet been disclosed, but it was well-known that he had battled drugs and mental health issues.
Carter died with an estimated net worth of $550,000, according to The Blast, with personal belongings valued at $200,000 and real estate valued at $350,000. Prince, his one-year-old child with fiancee Melanie Martin, has been listed in Conrad's filing as a potential beneficiary of his estate. Carter's real estate is worth an astounding $750,000 at the gross fair market value, according to court records. In addition to other things, Conrad's court filing reads, "I, Angel Conrad, hereby nominate myself as administrator of the Estate of the decedent - Aaron Carter."

The court filing continued, "I am the sister of the decedent Aaron Carter. Under the California Probate Code I am entitled to Letters of Administration of the Estate of Aaron Carter, by virtue of being the surviving sister of the decedent. I am a resident of the State of California and I am over the age of 18."
The mother of the 'Crush On You' singer, Jane Elizabth Carter, told TMZ that next year, some of Carter and Leslie's ashes will be scattered together in the Florida Keys without Martin being present. A portion of Carter and Leslie's remains are being stored to be buried next to their mother after her passing.
Carter was cremated within a week after death, and his twin sister Angel is now in possession of his ashes. A copy of Carter's death certificate states that Jane was the first to notify the authorities of her son's death and no official reason of death was given in the document, reported TMZ. Leslie was 25 when she died in 2012 from a prescription drug overdose.
Carter petitioned the Antelope Valley Courthouse in Los Angeles County earlier this year to grant him custody of their son and to grant him protection from Martin. He stated in a court document that his ex-girlfriend had caused him "emotional distress, anguish, shoving, and scratching," and that she had threatened to die by suicide as a means of "emotional abuse."
Last week, Martin, 35, was seen packing up her belongings and leaving Carter's home. The mansion had been up for sale by the former child star, but after his death, it was withdrawn off the market. It has been discovered that because Carter died without leaving a will, the state will pick who will receive his possessions.
If a single parent dies in California without leaving a will, the child usually inherits the estate. However, reports claim that Carter was not in a strong financial position when he died. Prior to his death, the actor had listed his Lancaster property for sale for about $800,000, but it has since been taken off the market. If a sale were to be completed, Prince would most definitely have security in any equity it brought.
