'He lived his life for us': Family mourns devoted husband, 61, who died after being bitten by pet dog
PRESTATYN, NORTH WALES: A dog owner died days after being bitten by his beloved dog. Mark Jones, 61, of Prestatyn, North Wales, is believed to have contracted sepsis after being bitten by his pet dog, Lili Lil Legs, on December 7, Wednesday. He was hospitalized four days after the bite, where his prognosis was described as "very poor." It was "probable" that he contracted the disease and eventually died of heart failure.
Coroner John Gittins stated that it was not possible to save Jones because his condition was "that far advanced" when he arrived four days after being attacked by his Jack Russell Terrier. "The process was so far advanced that despite the best efforts and treatment, he died of cardiac failure," he said. Jones wife Yvette Byrne said her husband was "the most loving person you could meet" in a statement, as per Mirror.

Yvette said: "He was the kindest, most loving person you could meet. He just wanted to make Michael and me so happy. He lived his life for us. "He was such a gentle, genuine, caring person and well-respected and loved by everyone who we came across. "We went out for a couple of years, and then his work took him to London, so we split up. "It was purely by chance that we got back together again, and we were together for 20 years and married for 18. It was a true love story, really. "He used to walk Lili nearly every night. There used to be the excuse of: 'We had to call into the pub so she could have a drink of water!'"
Mark served as vice-chairman, matchday announcer, and a former sub-editor for the Rhyl Journal newspaper. He is survived by his wife Yvette and stepson Michael. He also had a football memorabilia store named The Beautiful Game.
Mr. Jones is said to have died from sepsis, which the NHS defines as an immune system overreaction to an infection that harms the body's own tissues and organs. He stated, "Mark was a lovely bloke, a football aficionado. "There wasn’t much he didn’t know about the local football scene, and was passionate about Prestatyn Town, helping them significantly during their rise to prominence," according to Express UK
