For the couples on '90 Day Fiance', dealing with their relationship in real-time is not the same as a long-distance relationship -- they now have to face the mounting issues. At this point, communication between them tends to break down, especially around money problems.

One of the main prerequisites of the 90 day process is the fact that the spouse waiting for their green card can't work in the USA until they tie the knot and receive said green card. But, it looks like not everyone received the memo. As Emily sat her parents down, the first thing she did was ask them to pay for her wedding, seeing that she and Kobe were tight on money.

With her parents paying for everything already, they were apprehensive, as they believed that Emily's focus should be less on the wedding and more on planning her future. To make matters worse, they were still unsure of Kobe. Emily chalked it up to living under their house and hence they were inserting themselves into her relationship. However, Emily's parents argued that she had no idea how to live in the real world. They stated that she has never had any real responsibility, which was a massive cause for concern. However, fans felt as though the only people to blame for this were her parents.

"You two should focus on what work your daughter is gonna do. Why has that never come up as a topic of discussion? #90DayFiance" asked a fan. "Before inquiring what Kobe will do for employment once he gets his green card, Emily’s parents should be asking her why she DOES NOT HAVE A JOB ALREADY #90DayFiance" added another. "Emily rolls her eyes, like a spoiled brat that she is, when she doesn’t get her way. Her parents are to blame. #90DayFiance" wrote a fan. "The face of parents who didn’t prepare their child for the real world then complain that their child doesn’t know anything about the real world… #90DayFiance" pointed out another. "These parents need to ask their adult children who bring their lovers over, what their plan is. They should have a plan before asking someone to leave their country to be with them #90DayFiance" added a fan. "Wow Emily is more stunted than I realized . She’s NEVER lived on her own or paid bills or even tried? That is the parents fault too for allowing that. How old is this woman? #90dayfiance" said another.
