Fans are irked as Usman and Kim got engaged after she proposed to him, but he then gets ready to meet a potential younger wife

SOKOTO, NIGERIA: Usman might have said yes to Kim's proposal, but the latter's son is worried that she's willing to be one of Usman's many potential wives. As Usman lays out his terms for marrying Kim in the most recent episode of '90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?', fans on social media are concerned about Kim.

Usman "Sojaboy" Umar and Kim Menzies have announced their engagement! Kim proposed to Usman on Sunday night's episode of '90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?'. It was a moment they both swore they'd remember for the rest of their lives, but their honeymoon period didn't last long as he had a meeting with a prospective second wife first thing the following morning. Kimberly decides she needs to go all out to prove to Usman how much she loves him as he prepares to meet the young relative whom his mom wants him to marry.

Kim started the moment by putting rose petals across her hotel room, lighting candles, and even decorating with garlands and pictures of herself and Usman. He was shocked when he entered the room via a tinsel entryway, wondering what Kim had been up to while he was gone.

Usman joined her on the sofa, where she declared her great love even though they still didn't have his family's approval to marry. "Regardless of anything that happens, I want you to know that I'm always gonna be here," Kim said as she got down on one knee. "I'm not going anywhere."

Usman accepted Kim's proposal and put on a ring she had purchased, telling her, "If marrying you is what to make you happy in this life, I'm ready to marry you. I never expected this. I will repeat and say, 'Yes, yes, yes, yes."

A sentimental Usman subsequently said in a confessional that it was one of the most memorable experiences of his life. "When Kimberly goes down on one knee, it's not my culture — but it's beautiful. She's trying to show me how much she love me, and how she's ready to do to me regardless of anything that's going to happen," he stated, adding, "I have to accept it. It's something touching, actually."

He said, "Look at how she take so much time decorating the whole house. It's so romantic, and I feel loved ." Usman told Kim, "This is one of the things that I will never forget in my life. I've never had this, and this was made by the woman that I love ."

Usman and Kim were on cloud nine after the proposal, however, Kim was well aware that Usman would be meeting a younger woman in the morning. He promised her that she would continue to be important to him. There was still the nagging thought that they'd have to ask his mother's permission once again — albeit, as of the proposal, Kim was still only permitted to marry Usman if he married someone younger first.

Kim's family also showed concern throughout the episode. Kim stated in a FaceTime session with her son Jamal that she will only marry Usman if she can be the first wife (who has the highest respect in Usman's society). Kim had previously agreed to enable Usman to have a second wife only for the sake of having children.

Kim's son was skeptical of his mother's idea. "I don't even know how you feel comfortable with that," he informed his mother. "Especially seeing how things worked out with my dad."

"What's the point of being a first wife?" he wondered afterward. "Because I love him," Kim explained.

Calling the conversation between Kim and Usman "embarrassing", a fan tweeted, "Kimberly seems like a very nice person, but seeing her interactions with Usman are just embarrassing. I feel awful for her."

Watching Kim propose to Usman under such circumstances, a fan wrote on Twitter, "Kim, you KNEW that the day after the proposal he would have to go to this meeting. And you proposed to him knowing his mom doesn’t want you as his wife. Jamal’s face is all of us watching this mess."

Fans are amused to see how Kim's son has a better grip on the situation than her, "Kim finding out how smart her son is as an adult becuz he quickly showed her how dumb she is being is pure comedy."

On the other hand, siding with Usman, a fan wrote, "I don’t even like Usman but this isn’t fair to him at all. If he rejected the proposal and said they needed his mother’s blessing, Kim would be mad. But he accepts the proposal and that makes him deceitful? How is that fair?"

Some fans are also rooting for Kim to not go through this marrying Usman idea, "I wish Kimberly would listen to herself. She’s already named 458 reasons to NOT marry Usman."

Calling Kim a green card for Usman, a fan wrote, "Kimbaaaaaly really thinks that being the 1st wife is some special title. Lady, you are nothing more than a green card to Usman. Stay in your lane."

As Usman gets ready for meeting his potential wife right after accepting Kim's proposal, a fan tweeted, "How I'm looking at Kim watching Usman lay out his clothes to go meet with another woman while on the vacation she paid for."

Highlighting the T&C put forward by Usman, a fan wrote, "Usman: If my mom won't give us her blessing, Kimberly can be the second wife. The terms and conditions of the ring Kimberly gave to Usman:"
