David Murphy had everyone wondering how one could love someone for seven years without having met them even once. When his story was introduced on the show, people were convinced he was being catfished. Fans were surprised he believed Lana was real despite spending more than a hundred thousand dollars on the dating site.

The dating site allowed David to send chats to Lana. He further revealed he had to pay every time he wanted to chat with Lana. David confessed he had done a video chat with Lana only once but it had been as successful as he wanted as he could not hear her. Recently, he packed his bags and went down to Ukraine to meet Lana.

While she promised him she would show up at the train station wearing a blue dress, she was a no-show. This was not the first time when Lana did not show up to meet David. Prior to this, David had tried meeting Lana on three different occasions and all the times he was given a justification for why she did not show up.

Despite having his friends tell him that Lana is not real, David was adamant about finally meeting her. He even decided to travel to her hometown when he found out that Lana was not coming down to meet him. Even though he did not know where she lived, he decided to brave everything just to meet her.

Going from shop to shop, David tried to find someone who might have seen Lana. Unfortunately, that did not yield anything. He finally got a text from Lana saying she wanted to meet him and get some pictures taken for David to file for a K1 visa.

David was excited to hear this and reached the restaurant where they had planned on meeting. He bought her a bouquet of roses and ordered champagne to have the perfect moment for when he meets her for the first time.

Unfortunately, David waited for more than one hour and there was no sign of Lana. Seeing how David was not catching hints that Lana is catfishing him, fans made it clear they are out of sympathy for him. "And y'all at @TLC PLEASE stop with the sad and sappy songs for David's segments. The man is being deliberately stupid at this point. STOP with the sympathy," read one comment.

Another wrote, "David owes me some sympathy for putting up with this. What a gullible fool." Another echoed, "It’s hard to have sympathy for David, but it’s so hard to watch. I just don’t understand how a seemingly smart man can be so dumb! His persistence on hanging on to this false dream for 7 years is insane!"

While David seems to be stuck up on the idea of Lana, it looks like viewers are slowly losing their patience with his storyline.

'90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days' airs on Sundays at 8 pm ET on TLC.
