MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA: An eight-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after he was left hanging by his neck from a rope ladder at a TikTok-famous amusement park in Pennsylvania. The boy, whose identity was withheld by authorities, was left unconscious before two off-duty police officers performed CPR on him following the accident at Thrillz High Flying Adventure Park in the King of Prussia shopping mall.

The incident took place at around 1.40 pm on Saturday, February 25 when the boy got tangled up after starting to climb headfirst down a rope ladder at the park. “After our investigation and reviewing camera footage of today’s incident, we can say that the boy was seen climbing headfirst down a rope ladder and became tangled,” owner Lisa Cannon wrote in an email to NBC 10.

How the boy was rescued?

The ropes of the ladder were cut by employees within 10 seconds to get the boy down. "Within 10 seconds, our safety monitors formed a response team along with off-duty police officers and a nurse who was also on-site," Cannon wrote. "Our staff followed protocol and communicated via our internal radio system to our CPR and First Aid certified team members. The boy was rushed to Paoli Hospital, where she soon regained consciousness and spoke to the first responders." Investigators noted that the boy was with his family at the time and the incident was ruled accidental.

'Tough little guy'

A mother, who witnessed the scary incident while visiting the park with her son and nephew, described the entire ordeal as traumatic, saying, "My son and my nephew were really upset. They just wanted to go. I mean my son was on the verge of tears. A lot of children were crying. A lot of adults were crying." O'Reilly told NBC10 that she is praying for the boy and his family. "I'm just praying for his mother and his family and for him to make a safe recovery," she said. "Tough little guy."

Thrillz High Flying Adventure has another park in Connecticut where it earned online notoriety with its obstacle course evoking the TV program 'Wipeout'. The amusement park in Pennsylvania was opened earlier this month and is run by husband-and-wife duo Lisa and Nick Cannon who claim to have spent more than 15 years developing a corporate career in Wall Street before deciding to start the park. The park spans 37,000 square feet and offers a huge variety of rides, video games, and virtual reality experiences, according to DailyMail.
