'Family forever': Jennifer Aniston hints at another ‘Friends’ reunion

1. Way ahead of its time

'Friends' was a comedy show that was far ahead of its time. This is what makes it so interesting and relevant today. It addressed significant social issues and had representation. The show had a lesbian and gay couple. In addition, it included representations of transgender people in the story of Chandler's father and polyamory in the case of Phoebe's birth mother. The sitcom placed the foundation for more progressive TV shows to come.

2. For its hilarious and relatable characters

Monica's competitive nature, Rachel's love of fashion, Joey's charming stupidity and flirtatious nature, Chandler's sarcastic jokes, Ross's love life plagued by bad luck, and Phoebe's timeless songs like 'Smelly Cat', —each character has their own distinct traits. The majority of 'Friends' fans grew up with these characters, frequently empathizing with them and their crazy, complicated lives.

3. For its life lessons

Even though the show is known for its wit and sarcasm, each episode of 'Friends' ends with a life lesson. Of course, the most important is to always be able to rely on your friends and not paying too much attention to what other people think. Monica, on the other hand, taught viewers the most significant life lesson: Adulting sucks but you all are gonna love it.

4. For its Celebrity Cameos

Numerous celebrities had cameos on 'Friends'. Among the most famous are, Brad Pitt, who portrayed an old friend of Ross, Danny DeVito, who portrayed a stripper at Phoebe's bachelorette party, David Arquette, Kristin Davis, Alec Baldwin, Dakota Fanning, Julia Roberts and even Winona Ryder, who is a lead character in Netflix's 'Stranger Things'.

5. '90s Fashion

It's important to know that Rachel's long bob haircut, which she wore for the first two seasons, was so popular that it got its own nickname, 'The Rachel'. A lot of young women around the world started doing the same. The fashion of the 1990s, which was pioneered by 'Friends', continues to guide current fashion trends. The series showed the best, including white tank tops with Levi's jeans, starter jackets, slip dresses, good old dad shoes and platform flip-flops.
