Even while Instagram may have mimicked TikTok with its Reels feature, other types of content may be more difficult to find on Instagram. Perhaps it's the TikTok algorithm that gives our FYP an unnervingly personalized vibe based on our likes.

There are several reasons to consider reposting a TikTok on Instagram. Maybe it would just make a great joke that your buddies would love to hear in their DM replies. Here is all the information you require for posting TikTok videos to Instagram.

Posting TikTok videos on Insta story

The procedure is pretty easy to follow if you want to repost a TikTok video to your Instagram story. To repost a TikTok, simply open it in the TikTok app and select ‘Share’ from the bottom right corner (the icon looks like an arrow).

From the list of sharing platforms, select Instagram. You will be directed to the Instagram app as a result. Choose ‘Story’ from the menu at the bottom left. The plus (+) sign with a circle around it serves as the icon. Then, decide if you want to share the TikTok with your Close Friends or your public tale.

Posting TikTok videos as Insta reel

Open the TikTok and tap the ‘Share’ button in the bottom right corner to republish it as a reel. From the list of sharing choices, select Instagram.

Tap the ‘Feed’ option in the bottom right corner of the Instagram app once you've been forwarded there. The plus (+) sign with a square surrounding it serves as the icon. You can edit the post by adding any text or stickers you like, just like you would with a Reel. Next, select Next.

Choose a caption, then press the blue ‘Share’ button in the lower right corner to add it permanently to your feed.

Posting TikTok videos to Insta feed in photo slideshow

The process is slightly different if you want to include a TikTok in your photo dump. Launch the TikTok video and select Share as usual. So in this case, you should select ‘Save video’. The icon resembles a button for downloading.

Once the video has been saved to your camera roll, prepare your photo dump as usual by selecting each thumbnail from your camera roll while holding down the button. You may add your TikTok video anywhere and share it just like you would a photo dump.
