Courtney said that she had gone out for lunch with her boyfriend's mom to celebrate her birthday when she received the video of him and his stepsister. In her viral Tiktok video that has been seen by more than 6.5 million people so far, Courtney said she never saw his stepsister as a threat. “I never saw your stepsister as a threat, until she sent me a video of you two having sex of course,” she said.

Courtney studies biomedical engineering at the Michigan Technological University which is also where she met her now ex-boyfriend for the first time during her first semester. In a follow-up Tiktok post, Courtney confessed that she had shown the clip that Ashley, the stepsister who is also a high school student, sent her. She said that her boyfriend's mother seemed quite shocked from watching the video. “His mom just looked at me and said, ‘I need to leave,’. I’m assuming she went home to confront her kids about it.”, Sarah said in her second video.

To make things worse, Courtney said that she found out she had been blocked on all social media platforms by her former boyfriend when she got home and tried to call him on the phone. She also told in her video that she had made the Tiktok to cope with her situation but was not expecting it to blow up or go viral. Courtney even shared a screenshot of a text message that she received from Ashley after her video went viral. “This is Ashley. What the actual f–k is wrong with you? You made a TikTok about my brother and I and you used his name?! Our friends and family members saw it and now we’re getting s—-ed on for it! You’re a piece of s–t like how f—ed up can you be? Karma is going to be a real b—h to you…,”, the text message from Ashley read.
