NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: M Night Shyamalan is all prepared for his upcoming mystery/horror 'Knock at the Cabin'. This is his first movie to come out since 'Old' in 2021 and it is his 15th feature-length film after kickstarting his career in 1992 with 'Praying with Anger'. After a year-long hiatus, he is out and about promoting his film and was seen attending the premiere of the same on Monday, January 30, in New York City.
The 52-year-old director, who has worked with stars like Bruce Willis, James McAvoy, Anya Taylor-Joy, and many more, was seen rocking a navy blue suit with a white button-down shirt and a red-orange tie. His trademark hairstyle remained untouched slightly falling to the right. Moreover, he was accompanied by his wife Dr Bhavna Vaswani Shyamalan whom he married in 1992. Bhavna wore a strapless white dress, complemented with black fabric with black stilettos, and a small black clutch. The family came as a whole as their three daughters - Saleka, Ishana, and Shivani - stood by them.

Dr Bhavna Shyamalan calls herself a "wife, mom, PhD, VP of M. Night Shyamalan Foundation, aspiring human rights activist/abolitionist," and a "Zumba instructor" on Twitter. She co-owns Vibe Vault Fit which is a dance studio alongside Kristine Carroll. As per their official website, Bhavna has been teaching dance fitness since 2011 and manages the "mind" and "spirit" side of their dance studio. She is responsible for organizing and running workshops and talks about ways of uplifting lives through their podcasts.
Bhavna, as she calls herself affectionately, also manages a pretty active home life with three daughters. She was earlier a National and International Presenter for Zumba Fitness, teaching workshops and giving master classes on Bollywood and Bhangra Rhythm from 2011 to 2013. The official synopsis for the movie reads, "While vacationing at a remote cabin in the woods, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand they make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse. Confused, scared, and with limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost." The movie stars the Marvel hero and WWE wrestler Dave Bautista as Leonard, 'Harry Potter' franchise star Rupert Grint as Redmond, Jonathan Groff as Andrew, Abby Quinn as Adriane, and 'Avenue 5' star Nikki Amuka-Bird as Sabrina.
Shyamalan talks about the movie, "I believe in this type of storytelling that when you come to the movie theater, you want to see something incredibly powerful, incredibly emotional, experiential, but you want it to be bigger than life. I’m very drawn to stories of confinement and telling very large stories through a small window." He is incredibly famous for scaring his audience and providing mind-boggling plot twists.
