MOSCOW, IDAHO: Four Idaho University students were found stabbed at an apartment on Sunday, November 13. Latah County Coroner Cathy Mabbutt has shared new details about the autopsy report in an interview. Muddbutt said that the murderer was "really angry" while killing the four young college students.

Ethan Chapin, 20, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Kaylee Goncalves, 21, lived together at the apartment, which was located near their college campus in Moscow, Idaho. In an interview with News Nation, Mabbutt said, “It was late at night or early in the morning so it seems likely maybe they were sleeping. There were multiple stab wounds on them and most of them had just one that was the lethal stab wound. The fatal ones were to the chest area, the upper body area. It was a pretty large knife so it’s really hard to call them puncture wounds. It has to be somebody that is pretty angry in order to stab four people to death.” The autopsy report also claimed that among the four students, Xana Kernodle had "defensive wounds."

According to NBC, all the four victims were stabbed multiple times and there were no signs of sexual assault. Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Kaylee Goncalves were living together in that apartment. Ethan Chaplin was dating Kernodle and they were going to spend the night together, on the night of the killing. Just a few days before they were killed, Chaplin and Kernodle celebrated his birthday together and posted the pictures on their social media.

During a press conference on Wednesday, November 16, Moscow Police Chief James Fry revealed that Chapin and Kernodle were partying together on the campus while Goncalves and Mogen were at a bar on Saturday night, November 12. On Wednesday, remembering the four Idaho University students, community members gathered at Independence Point, Coeur d’Alene for a candlelight vigil.
