Prince William and Princess Charlotte share 'SUPER CUTE' video in support of English Lionesses ahead of Euro 2022 final

The video sparked a conversation on Twitter, with German supporters mocking the prince and princess.

Prince William shared a video on Twitter with Princess Charlotte where they both sent a message of support for the English Lionesses ahead of the UEFA Women's EURO England 2022 final against Germany tonight. On the video Prince William can be seen saying, "We both want to wish the Lionesses the best of luck for tonight. You have done amazingly well in the competition and we're rooting for you all the way." To this, Princess Charlotte added, "Good luck, I hope you win. Bye!"

The video sparked a conversation on Twitter with German supporters piling in to mock the prince and princess. A comment from @MutkeGitti read, "Sorry, her royal highness, Prince William and lovely Charlotte… but the german girls are better." A comment from Walter M. Straten a sports journalist read, "No!! Sorry… congratulation for second place." To this, an English supporter @GeorgeMacphers1 commented, "Remember the 5-1 hammering we gave you." The user further said, "That's the thing with you Germans. You always think about titles. Unlike you we look to improve the team instead of looking for more titles." Another hopeful England supporter (@Fintan_T) said, "If it's level pegging at half time, I reckon the England players can finish off the German ladies."

In between conversations related to football, one user (@westerby1) commented, "Poor kid - this is going to be her life - people saying how pretty she is (sadly, being a girl, in the public eye, she HAS to be attractive, otherwise she'd always be judged!) And having to attend, and endorse, all sorts of events (even if she doesn't like, or agree, with them!). To this a user (Jean18538839) commented, "At least she won't be a girl growing up in a Country where a girl will grow up to be a women with no rights."

However there were loads of users showing support for the father-daughter duo. A user (@annb3555) commented, "GOOD LUCK FOR TONIGHT LADIES AND PRINCESS CHARLOTTE LOOKS LIKE SHE GOING TO BE A BUTTIFUL LADY WHEN SHE GROWS UP BLESS HER." Another user (@THERoyalCrabbit) commented, "Dear Charlotte: It's a joy watching you grow up. It's also good to know that @Lionesses have new generation of young ladies supporting them. Enjoy the match, YRH!" 

The royal family (Prince William, Princess Charlotte, and Kate Middleton) will also attend the final. Last month William visited the England women's football team in Staffordshire. There he revealed Charlotte is a football fan. He told the team that Charlotte wanted him to tell them that "she is very good at goal - a budding star for the future." If the Lionesses win, this will be the England women's team's first major trophy.
