NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'So You Think You Can Dance' Season 18 recently crowned Anthony Curley as the winner, yet many viewers of the Fox show argue that runner-up Dakayla Wilson deserved the title.

During the 'SYTYCD' finale episode, the Top 10 dancers competed in a group performance of 'Unwritten,' by Natasha Bedingfield. The Fox show judge selected Anthony and Dakayla as the Top 2 finalists, who then battled it out in the final round for the grand $100,000 cash prize. Dakayla showed off her flexibility and stunning moves in a solo performance on 'A Pale' by Rosalía.

Dakayla has been a favorite among fans and judges alike since the beginning of this latest installment. She consistently garnered praise from the judges, with Allison Holker describing her performances as "crazy." JoJo Siwa noted that she was shocked with how far she has come from day one.

Despite the compliments and effortless moves, Dakayla failed to win the trophy and ended up being SYTYCD's Season 18 runner-up, sparking outrage among viewers. On X, one fan wrote, "The winner was…a choice. I like Anthony but it should have been Dakayla or Madison."

Another person added, "I got to stop watching competition shows because what the heck was that??? Off pure fairness Madison should have won, but since she didn’t it definitely should’ve been Dakayla. Anthony was aight but really???" One user wrote, "Embarrassing result."

One critic added, "They PRAISED DaKayla every solo performance she gave. They loved her over Anthony the entire season! That is WILD! What a joke!" Another user commented, "Are you f**king kidding me?! Just toss this entire season in the trash! Madison & Dakayla were robbed!!" Another viewer said, "Y’all wrong asl. Dakayla won that fair and square."
