HIDDEN HILLS, CALIFORNIA: American reality star Kim Kardashian's new crime podcast has knocked Meghan Markle off the top of the Spotify rankings, where it currently sits in fourth place. The 41-year-old's latest podcast, titled 'The System: The Case of Kevin Keith,' explores the case of an Ohio man who was convicted of three counts of murder and sentenced to death, but whose sentence was commuted to life in prison without the possibility of parole by former Governor Ted Strickland in 2010. The broadcast is now available for listening worldwide.

The podcast focuses on Kevin's efforts to disprove his guilt after he was convicted in 1994. Kim has stated in the past that there is no concrete or "physical" evidence linking Kevin, now incarcerated at Marion Correctional Institution in Ohio, to the crime of which he is accused.

With just two episodes since the podcast's premiere on Monday, Oct 3, the 41-year-old has knocked longtime fan favorite 'The Joe Rogan Experience' from its spot as the most popular podcast, thanks to her massive fan base (331 million Instagram followers). The UFC analyst has moved up to second place, relegating Alex Cooper's 'Call Me Daddy' podcast to third.

When the first episode of Meghan Markle's podcast, titled 'Archetypes,' was released a month ago, it immediately climbed to the top spot. The Duchess of Suxxes dropped to fifth place after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, but now the "Suits" alumna has somehow moved up to the fourth place. At the end of 2020, it was revealed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had signed a lucrative deal with multinational audio streaming company Spotify to host and create podcasts. The contract is said to be worth around £18 million.

Although the webcast's real performance may be skewed by the fact that Kim, Joe, and Meghan's podcasts are all unique to Spotify, the 41-year-old SKIMS founder is off to a good start. On Monday, the star of 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' turned to social media in order to inform her audience about the launch of her brand-new podcast. In the clip, she can be seen having a video chat with Kevin.

Kim says, "The case of Kevin Keith is deeply twisted and incredibly heart-breaking from all sides." At that point, the voice of a newscaster could be heard stating: "An Ohio man has been sentenced to death." Kim continued, "It sounds straightforward at first, but the deeper we go, the more the reported events there are called into question."

Kim has been a fierce advocate in recent years for the exoneration of convicted criminals who are largely presumed innocent. She even tried to change then-President Trump's mind as part of her lobbying efforts. Kim's new podcast centers on a man named Keith, who has been in prison for 28 years despite his protestations of innocence. It has not yet been announced when the next podcast will air.
