Is Reba McEntire OK? Singer told to take 'vocal rest' as she postpones shows by a month

Country music singer Reba McEntire has left her fans concerned for her health after she posted a tweet regarding her upcoming shows. The 67-year-old shared that her doctor advised her to go on “vocal rest” and she had to “reschedule this weekend’s shows”.

In a statement, McEntire wrote, “An update about this weekend’s shows. My doctor has advised me to go on vocal rest, so I have made the difficult decision to reschedule this weekend’s shows.” She also noted, “All tickets will be honored for the new dates: December 2 - Columbus, OH; December 3 - Raleigh, NC; December 16 - Indianapolis, IN. Thank you for understanding!”

However, ‘the Queen of Country’ did not say if she will be attending the Country Music Association Awards ceremony on November 9 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Katy Perry, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood are expected to attend the event.

Meanwhile, after McEntire’s recent announcement, many people sent their wishes and prayers to her as a fan tweeted, “Hope your doing well @reba have tea with honey in it. That will help your voice or throat so you can sing sooner!” A second fan wrote: “Please take care of yourself- YOU & especially your health always come first. Us fans will still be here no matter what! Rest up, queen. 🖤🖤” A third one shared, “Get well soon Reba!  Your health is way more important. Prayers up for a speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹 🙏🙏.”



 



 



 

The fourth one said, “Hi reba how are you doing st Louis mo was awesome you done great it was my frist Concert ever your the top number one singer of all time I hope you do the meet and greets soon that would be awesome.” A fifth fan added: “Hope you feel better soon Reba. Please rest an take care of yourself first. You know your fans will understand an we will be waiting for you when you return to the tour. ❤️”

“Understand we all get down and need rest. I will have to work that day of the new event 14 hours but I am going to push through and be there. This will be the 25 time for me seeing you. Am going this time for my sisters honor she passed from cancer 3 years ago,” a person noted, while another one stated, “I’m sorry to hear that you are under the weather Reba. Prayers going up for your healing. You and Dolly are my very favorite gals so I gotta keep an eye on ya lol. So happy you gals are doing the Awards! Rest well God Bless from Iowa Tamara.”

A loving tweet for McEntire read, “@reba . Rest up and get better. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I will be there to see you dec was and 3rd.  You are worth the wait no matter what! We love you!” The second such tweet was “You are smart to put your health first; we all want you healthy with that gorgeous smile of yours ♥️ you are my inspiration every day!! Love you; be well!!”
