Who is Zoe Snoeks's husband? Vlogger fell to death taking selfie at cliff's edge
A romantic gateway went horribly wrong for vlogger and fitness enthusiast Zoe Snoeks, as she fell to death while posing for photos at the edge of a cliff. The 33-year-old Belgian woman was visiting a picturesque Luxembourg province with her husband and tried taking a selfie on a cliff in Nadrin. She accidentally lost her balance and fell nearly 100 feet below into the Ourthe River. Her body was recovered by a rescue team the following morning on November 3, 2021.
Snoeks' Instagram profile is filled with scenic photos from her trips to different provinces in and around Europe. She specifically shared wide-angle lens photographs, where she posed at the edges of different cliffs and mountains. It is believed that Snoeks wanted to recreate such a pose at Luxembourg as well, outweighing the risk involved. Her husband Joeri Janssen had his back turned for a moment when Snoeks had the fatal fall.

Who is Zoe Snoeks' husband?
A resident of Limburg municipality in Belgium, Zoe Snoeks was a fitness expert and travel vlogger. Her older Instagram posts show her as a winner at several bodybuilding and fitness championships, including the 2015 National Champion Bikini. In the past two years, she travelled extensively with her husband and the couple's two dogs Joy and Ivy.
Snoeks was married to Joeri Janssen since 2012 and often posted romantic photos of them together. Janssen was her school sweetheart and the couple shared a close bond and friendship. Janssen was mainly the one taking her Instagram-worthy pictures at different scenic destinations. They also carried a drone while traveling to take aerial photographs.
"We only left on Sunday in our campervan. Since the pandemic, it was our little thing to drive across Europe in our van and take beautiful photos," her husband revealed. According to Janssen, the couple had climbed the cliff early that day to visit a 4500-ft vertical rock face.
"We got up very early to take pictures of the Herou. There is almost always mist there. It's great for photos. We arrived before 9am," Janssen shared, adding, "She told me to look out for the dogs. I turned to the dogs and told them to wait. When I turned back to Zoe, she was no longer there. She had just vanished. It must have happened in less than five seconds. I didn't see or hear anything. No rustling, no screams or shouts. I looked up and saw only dust."
He then tried calling her several times in vain but his heart sank after noticing that the chasm was "several tens of meters deep". "I immediately called the emergency services, but had almost no network. They didn't understand me, even though I speak a little French," he added.
Janssen was later informed that Zoe was dead. Police, firefighters and scuba divers from the Luxembourg province looked for her body, which was later found in the river.
Joeri Janssen also opened up about the last selfie taken by her wife, which he later found on her phone. "I immediately unlocked her phone and saw that she had taken a photo on the cliff edge. Her very last selfie.
Zoe is looking straight ahead. You can also see the mist and the river where they finally found her body," he said.
