Zoe Kravitz shuts down fan who asked her if she's lightening her skin during self-isolation
Coronavirus has forced people to stay home. Actress Zoe Kravitz is also under self-isolation like thousands of people due to the coronavirus pandemic. Staying at home for days at a stretch could have certain effects. While some people go paler than usual without sun, others could put on a couple of extra kilos. Zoe Kravitz has most likely paled.
But when she took to Instagram to share a photo with her beloved pet dog, the actress was accused of lightening her skin. "Self(ie) quarantine. Stay inside, kids. One day at a time," she captioned the photo on Instagram.
A user commented asking Zoe if she was getting her skin whitened. "Am I wrong or she is looking so white in this picture, please don't tell me you are getting ready of your melanin, you are so beautiful with your natural colour (sic)," the fan commented.
"Jesus. No girl. This is what happens to some of us mixed kids when we can't go outside LOL," the 31-year-old actress commented. Her fans backed her up saying, "She's light-skinned. When you lose sun, you lose colour. It happens," one commented.
"Hahaha the struggle is so real for us mixed kids," a person commented and another wrote, "Ooohhh facts! I literally have like 10 shades of foundation. We change with the seasons."
Some fans even took the query personally, offended that a fan could even pose the question in the first place. "If you're a fan of her you'd know. This isn't even the type of question to consider," a fan wrote.
The actress was last seen in Hulu's 'High Fidelity', which was adapted from the Nick Horny novel of the same name. The book was previously adapted into a film of the same name starring John Cusack and Kravitz' mother Lisa Bonet. The actress is currently filming 'The Batwoman', where she plays the role of Selina Kyle, the Catwoman.
