SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Karen's Diner might not be everyone's favourite go-to place for having food. The "popular" restaurant is known for its unique interactive experience and promotes itself for having, rude, no-nonsense wait staff that serve without a smile. This time, a woman diner was left in tears after a staffer took potshots at her red hair and reportedly called her a "filthy ranga."

The diner started its journey as a pop-up restaurant in Sydney but now it has spread to other cities in Australia and can also be found in UK and US. Customers who dare enter their outlets are greeted with a warning that states what could possibly happen. It states, "Warning, rude language is used across our venues. We are not Disneyland. We strongly recommend minors to not attend past 6 pm on weekdays and 5 pm on weekends."

Despite this, the cheeky and bold behaviour of the staff seemed to be too much for the woman as she took to her TikTok to slam the restaurant for having an unforgivable experience. "I love roleplay, improv, acting, all of that stuff so I was so excited," the Australian woman said on social media, according to LadBible. “But it was really horrible. They just literally bullied me about my hair," she added, going on to narrate her experience. She said she "started crying" as she was triggered by the way the staff spoke to her.

She concluded her video by saying that the restaurant was an unacceptable place for anyone to enjoy their food and she would not recommend it to anyone unless they wanted to "pay to be bullied." While some agreed with what she said, others pointed out that it was to be expected. One user said, "That’s kinda the whole point." "Don’t go to Karen’s if you can’t take the heat, it’s like that on purpose", a second user added. A third said "How could you not know what it's like before going?! I've seen plenty of videos and there is no way I would ever step foot in there."

Others pointed out the irony of complaining about a restaurant that has based itself on people who complain about things that they were clearly warned of. Although Karen's Diner's schtick may seem indifferent to the majority of the customers, it does have some basic house rules "in order to maintain a shred of sanity." Violations of these rules will result in customers being asked to pay and leave the venue immediately.

"No racist, sexist, homophobic or ableist comments or slurs will be tolerated. No body shaming. No sexual harassment", the rule states. "Any damage of vandalism of the venue will lead to instant removal from the venue. (Charges may also apply) Keep your food and drink on your tables, don't throw them, it's not fun." However, in typical Karen's Diner fashion, the rules conclude with, "Just sit down, shut up, eat your food and bring on the banter."
