'You' Season 2 is out on Netflix and fans agree Joe is creepier and more sinister than he was before
The second season of 'You' is finally out on Netflix and though fans were upset they had to wait till 12 AM PT to get their Joe Goldberg-fix, they are now thrilled at the new episodes and new settings of the season.
In the second season, Joe (Penn Badgley) moves to Los Angeles to escape Candace — his ex-girlfriend who is not really dead. Candace realizes that he is responsible for Beck's death and comes back to Joe to make him pay for his crimes.
When Joe moves to Los Angeles, he despises the city like any other New Yorker. Taking on the name of Will Bettelheim, Joe gets a job selling books at Anavrin where he meets siblings Love and Forty Quinn — the former of whom Joe immediately falls for.
Of course, fans are already worried about Love. One fan tweeted, "Ok it's scary hearing 'Will' get interested in his new girl looking at tomatoes, omg. You know that girls gonna die. #YouNetflix."
Though some may love Love — as one viewer wrote, "Omfgggg Love is so awkward and cute. She's perfect #YouNetflix," — many prefer Joe's love interest from Season 1, with one fan writing, "Love is annoying. Candace seems like she gonna be an annoyance too. Bring back my girl Beck #YouNetflix."
Most fans are noticing that Joe is more sinister this time around. One fan tweeted, "how is joe even creepier this season omg I'm scared #YouNetflix," while another shared, "Love is already being a crazy b*tch and joe is even creepier this season #YouNetflix."
Viewers, meanwhile, are happy to see Penn Badgley back in the role. One user wrote, "Thinking about how awful You would be if it was anyone other than Penn Badgley in the lead role," while another tweeted, "The only toxic person that I am happy to see this holiday season #YouNetflix."
Of course, with their post-Christmas days sorted with the second season of 'You', fans can get their fill of Joe Goldberg in the next few days, as one viewer observed, "#YouNetflix is out. I shall never step my foot to the outside world again."
All episodes of Season 2 of 'You' are now streaming on Netflix.
