'You drive like s**t': McDonald’s ‘ax man’ Michael Palacios and his DOG mowed down for yelling at driver
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Michael Palacios, infamously known as NYC McDonald's 'ax man', was mowed down by an SUV after he yelled at the driver for driving "like s**t". On Tuesday, January 31, the horrific hit-and-run incident happened on Fifth Avenue in New York City when Palacios was riding his bike along the bike lane with his dog Simba.
The unsettling CCTV footage of the collision, which shows the moment the massive SUV purposefully accelerated toward the cyclist Palacios and his dog, has subsequently gone viral. In the footage, Palacios and Simba can be seen being knocked off the road after being hit by the SUV. A short while later, the driver rams into the bike once more before fleeing the scene in front of shocked witnesses. The unbelievable hit-and-run footage was shared by Palacios with his more than 6K Instagram followers. He condemned the driver and stated that his dog Simba "doesn't deserve this."

Palacios wrote in the caption, "What happened? I told a bad driver he drives like s**t and p***y n****s get no respect. I proceeded and he rammed me from behind. And yes, he knew simba was on the bike." Fortunately, neither Palacios nor the dog Simba suffered any harm. "The great thing about cargo bikes is they receive 90% of the impact. I don't attach simba to the bike so he’s free to go in a safe direction," Palacios wrote in his caption.
'Glad you and Simba tucked out the way'
Numerous people responded to Palacios' Instagram post about the incident by expressing their thoughts in the comment section. One individual wrote, "Glad you were on a cargo bike, everyone thinks they are a tough guy in a car but can't throw hands. Corn balls using there [their] car, you have a Angel or two that looked out for you and simba! Better believe it 🙏🏽."
Another person who expressed relief that Palacios and Simba survived the situation safely wrote, "Yoooooo. The way he went after you after you got up is crazzzzzzy. Glad you and simba tucked out the way." A third person who experienced a similar incident wrote, "I'm glad you're okay, I had something just like that the other day. F**k cars."
One other individual wrote, "Out fucking rageous. I would lose it if someone did this to me and my dog on our cargo bike. Sending positive vibes." One more individual, who was happy no one was hurt in the intentional hit-and-run incident, wrote, "Happy you and Simba was able to walk away from that king."
Palacios asks for help on GoFundMe to repair his bike
Following the mishap, Palacios created a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to repair his damaged cargo bike. In the fundraising website, he wrote, "Simba and I were riding down 5th ave and a bad driver rammed us from behind. Almost running simba over and than [then] fleeing the scene." Out of the necessary $5000 target, the fundraising has so far only raised roughly $1890. DailyMail reported that no police report was filed after the crash.
