As a part of the network's 'Ripped from the Headlines' line up this season, Lifetime is all set to release its latest feature, starring award-winning celebrities.

Coming this February, the movie titled 'You Can't Take My Daughter' deals with gruesome acts, criminal investigations, rape, murder and much more. And here's everything that you need to know about the film ahead of its release.

Plot

Amy Thompson is a bubbly law school student in Charlotte. She gets attacked and raped by Demetri, a friend of a friend she met only once. When she discovers that she is pregnant from the rape, Amy makes the most difficult decision of her life, to keep the baby, despite the fact that Demetri continues to stalk and harass her as she waits for the long-delayed trial. 

She gives birth to a beautiful baby girl and decides to flee to Atlanta to start over. Six-year down, Demetri finds her and to her horror, he sues her for custody of her daughter. Using her own legal and investigative skills, Amy fights back. Will she succeed in keeping her daughter to herself and will the pathetic rapist get the end he deserves?
