'Yellowstone' Season 3 Episode 9: With one episode to go, fans are torn between Team Willa and Team Beth

But everything aside, there is no doubt that the two characters are a once-in-a-while occurrence since 'Yellowstone' hardly gets strong female characters

Spoilers for 'Yellowstone' Season 3 Episode 9 'Meaner than Evil'

Every season of 'Yellowstone' sees Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) in a face-off with a new antagonist. And while there are two this season — Karen Pittman's Willa Hayes and Josh Holloway's Roarke Morris — fans are very keen to see how Beth will take over them. 

For now, however, Willa has the upper hand. After the previous episode's shenanigans, Willa gets Beth fired from Schwartz & Meyers. When Beth walks into her office that morning, Willa has already taken over her desk, hence beginning a war that fans (and us) think will end only one way. But with two strong female characters pitted against each other, which side to choose?

"I’m soooooo effin torn Team Willa vs Team Beth," tweeted a fan.

But it goes without saying that Beth has more supporters than Willa. Another wrote, "Willa no questions.. the disrespect that was shown to queen beth tonite was simply unacceptable.. willa a** gots to go!!!"

"Willa, you won this round...but, this isn't Beth's first rodeo hold on tight!" tweeted another person on Beth's team.

And as it the case with almost every episode, even with the penultimate one, Beth takes the best one-liner trophy. Beth walks out on Willa with a warning - yet another one of her popular one-liners. "Best line goes to Beth: "When all this is over, I'm gonna hang your diploma above my toilet in my guest house. You have my word," tweeted a fan.

While Willa might not know what exactly she has gotten into as she sets against Beth Dutton, but fans know it for sure that it won't be an easy fight for her - for 'Yellowstone' fans are Beth Dutton fans and they know exactly the hurricane that is about to come. "Damn @Yellowstone You have certainly raised the bar for DAMMMNNN!! Three rules of #yellowstonetv 1. You’re either holding the rope or its holding you. 2. There’s always a price for revenge. 3. A wronged Beth, is a dangerous Beth. Great episode! Bravo all!" tweeted another fan.

But everything aside, there is no doubt that the two characters are a once-in-a-while occurrence since 'Yellowstone' hardly gets strong female characters like Beth. "I love the hate/love/respect between Willa and Beth," tweeted a viewer, and we wholly agree.

'Yellowstone' will return next Sunday, August 23, 2020, for the finale episode of Season 3.
