The fifth season of ‘Yellowstone’ started with a major tragedy when Monica (Kelsey Asbille) got involved in a car accident. However, things got from bad to worse for Monica because she was 37 weeks pregnant and the night she got injured in an accident, she was going to the hospital for an emergency delivery. But it seems Kayce’s devastating dream came true when it was revealed that the baby died because of the accident, leaving the entire Dutton family in shock.

The fourth episode of the ongoing season saw the Dutton Family planning a funeral for the little boy, who was named John by his parents. The episode saw the family laying the baby to rest and making things harder for Kayce and Monica. But John Dutton (Kevin Costner) knew exactly what he had to do at the moment and the moment between John and Monica during the funeral made fans absolutely speechless. At the end of the funeral, John waits for people to disperse so that he can talk to a grieving Monica. He approaches her and sits beside her as he starts telling her that he perfectly understands her pain because he knows the pain of losing a child.

However, the most beautiful moment of the episode comes when John tells Monica about his brother who died as a baby, and how the entire family was in shock when the incident took place. However, John feels that his brother lived a perfect life, knowing only his mother’s love. She cries in John’s arms and thanks him for telling her this story.

The entire scene between Monica and John left fans sobbing as they felt that’s the only that the grieving mother wanted to hear. One of the fans said, “'That boy lived a perfect life…' now I’m crying! I love John Dutton!” Another fan noted, “Whoever wrote the scene for Costner at the gravesite in tonight’s Yellowstone episode should win a damn Emmy.” Another fan tweeted, “I cried for real during this scene. So sad. Beautifully acted though. Very touching.”

“This scene was beautifully executed. Monica has always been slight walls up with John but seeing her welcome his words of comfort, that’s beautiful,” tweeted one fan. “What a heart-wrenching scene. Perfectly done,” wrote another one.

John and Monica’s relationship has not been that good since the beginning, but being the oldest member of the family, he knows he has to take care of the entire clan. The scene showed that they have something in common which makes their relationship stronger.

The fourth episode saw Jamie and Beth’s relationship more volatile than ever as something from the past made it harder for them to reconcile. However, the episode will be remembered for John’s emotional speech that made everyone flabbergasted.
