LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: For the past eight weeks, 'X-Men '97' has been captivating Marvel fans, delivering excitement and awe. This revival of 'X-Men: The Animated Series' has been a thrilling ride, and now we've reached the season 1 finale.

Throughout Season 1 on Disney+, fans have enjoyed memorable moments and some cliffhangers. The upcoming season finale of 'X-Men '97' on Disney+ marks the conclusion of its first season, standing out from the MCU.

With the threat of Bastion's Prime Sentinels looming and tensions escalating between Magneto, Charles Xavier, and the X-Men, anticipation is high. Episode 9 left viewers on edge with a shocking twist involving Wolverine and Magneto, setting the stage for a dramatic conclusion.

Fans eagerly await the resolution of ongoing conflicts and the fate of the X-Men team in this memorable event for television audiences.

This season finale titled, 'Tolerance is Extinction - Part 3', is expected to be packed with even more intense scenes. It will likely leave fans eager for the next season but frustrated with the long wait ahead.

What will happen in the finale of 'X-Men '97' Season 1? We have a few ideas. Here are some of them.

Wolverine's real claws are revealed

In the comics, after Magneto rips the adamantium from Logan’s skeleton, it’s revealed that Wolverine’s claws were originally made of bone. This tragic discovery happens when Logan pops his claws and begins to bleed profusely.

Feeling inadequate, Logan makes a tough decision. He writes a goodbye note to everyone at the mansion and leaves the X-Men. Though he eventually returns, he first needs to do some soul-searching.

The same scenario could unfold in 'X-Men '97', as the show has closely followed its comic book origins.

Time travel could help reverse the damage caused in 'X-Men '97'

Time travel is always an option in the X-Men universe. In a recent episode of 'X-Men '97', Cable mentioned that the timestream kept pulling him back, preventing him from stopping the Genosha massacre. This suggests that current events are destined to happen.

But does it truly mean they can't go back and change things?

Bishop has been missing for some time. We know he lost track of Cable while traveling to the future. It's likely he'll return in the season finale, given his importance throughout the season.

His reappearance could bring a crucial warning about the impending threat of Onslaught.

Onslaught will be introduced

When Wolverine’s metal was ripped from his bones, Marvel Comics fans were thrilled. They knew this event led to the rise of Onslaught. If this is happening in 'X-Men '97', there will be signs.

One sign could be Charles Xavier acting more aggressively. Another could be something subtle, like The Watcher’s appearance in Episode 5. Pay close attention to everything Xavier does in the season finale.

Gambit might return

Gambit’s death could be the most devastating moment in 'X-Men ‘97', even with all the other mutants who died. However, popular characters always come back, especially in comics.

A TV show is no different. Gambit could return with Apocalypse's help.

Remy LeBeau was once the Horseman Death in the comics. His heroic end in 'X-Men '97' might attract Apocalypse. This would bring Gambit back without much confusion.

Additionally, if Gambit becomes a horseman, Wolverine might follow him too.

Kitty Pryde will join the X-Men

Kitty Pryde holds significant importance among the X-Men, but her journey didn't begin that way. Initially, she was an insecure teenager, a delightful character yet more on the sidelines.

Over time, she evolved into a stronger fighter and emerged as a leader within the X-Men. Every hero has a starting point, and the end of Season 1 could mark Kitty Pryde's beginning.

While Jubilee enjoys popularity, Kitty Pryde's character development in the comics surpassed hers. This evolution is possible in 'X-Men ‘97'.

However, it may take time for Kitty Pryde to reach her full potential. Nonetheless, introducing her character would acquaint mainstream audiences with her, especially in anticipation of her eventual debut in the MCU.
