In 'X-Men '97' Episode 2, one of the biggest moments is when Cyclops (Ray Chase) and Jean Grey's (Jennifer Hale) child is born. While Cyclops defends Magneto (Matthew Waterson) in court, Wolverine (Cal Dodd) rushes Jean Grey to the hospital as she goes into labor.

Eventually, Rogue (Lenore Zann) and Cyclops assist in delivering the baby, named Nathan Charles Summers, who is revealed to be another major mutant: Cable.

Another significant event involves Storm's character. While defending Magneto from the advancing Friends of Humanity, Storm (Alison Sealy-Smith) takes a hit from a new weapon wielded by X-Cutioner.

The attack results in Storm losing her mutant abilities, as she tragically reveals she can no longer feel the breeze or moisture in the air like before. Beast (George Buza) suggests that this loss is permanent.

In the climax of 'X-Men '97' Episode 2, the most noteworthy revelation occurs with the introduction of Jean Grey's clone.

After receiving Storm's farewell letter, Jean discusses what to do about Ororo's departure with the other X-Men. Morph predicts Storm will return and is seemingly proven right when there's a knock at the door.

However, instead of Storm, an exhausted Jean Grey stands outside, urgently needing the X-Men's assistance.

What to expect in 'X-Men '97' Episode 3?

In the next episode of 'X-Men '97' titled 'Fire Made Flesh', we may learn the backstory of Jean's clone introduced at the end of episode 2. Moreover, we can anticipate the continuation of Storm's storyline, considering her significant role within the group.

Magneto is also set to return in the next episode. What does he have in mind? The only way to find out is to wait until Episode 3 is out!
