Spoilers for 'Wynonna Earp' Season 4 Episode 3 'Look At Them Beans'

This summer, Syfy's hit show, 'Wynonna Earp' returned for its fourth season after a break of two years, mainly thanks to fans' intense campaigning to bring their beloved show back. Perhaps to reflect that lapsed time, a development in the second episode of the fourth season of the show left us all in shock when Wynonna Earp (Melanie Scrofano), her sister, Waverly Earp (Dominique Provost-Chalkley), and Doc Holliday (Tim Rozon) return to Purgatory, they learn that they were in the Garden of Eden for eighteen months.

Waverly makes it back to Nicole Haught (Katherine Barrell) whom we realized looked different as she had grown out her ginger locks. Last week, the WayHaught couple were too happy to be reunited -- and us along with them -- for us to notice anything else that was different about Nicole. However, the third episode of the season showed us that Nicole may not really be alright. In an episode which featured a dulled down Nicole, instances such as her staring into the distance, getting distracted during fights and closing up when Waverly asks her what happened in the time they were apart, has viewers thinking that Nicole might be suffering from PTSD.

We know that after Wynonna left the Black Badge Division headquarters to go to the Garden, that it was just Nicole and the new character, Rachel Valdez (Martina Ortiz-Luis). However, it is just Nicole who returns to Purgatory and protects Homestead after the town is run over by demons and descends into a state of anarchy. Certainly, protecting Homestead as she waited for her fiancee and her best friend must have been really difficult, but we wonder if something else may have happened.

Fans noticed Nicole's distancing as well in this episode and tweeted out their concern for her. One fan tweeted, "I can FEEL Nicole pulling away! My heart! Bring me back @KatBarrell talking about Christmas!! @WynonnaEarp #wayhaught #WynonnaWatchParty #WynonnaEarp." Another wrote, "Everyone's joking and laughing and happy and Nicole is staring off into the middle distance because she thinks she could have saved him 18 months ago but she was trying to survive how could she have known but she can't even hug him SOMEONE HOLD HER/ME #WynonnaEarp #ProudOfMel."

A fan wrote, "So worried about Nicole! I mean I know it'll eventually be okay...they will get through to her but :'('''''''' #ProudOfMel #WynonnaEarp." Another tweeted, "Please PLEASE someone get nicole a therapist #wynonnaearpwatchparty #wynonnaearp," as a viewer noted, "Nicole Haughts walls are sky high right now..... #WynonnaEarp."
