WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has stirred a controversy by sharing his views on the COVID-19 pandemic. Hogan has said that the world may not need a vaccination for coronavirus and also claimed that the outbreak is an act of God.

Taking to Instagram, the 66-year-old has compared the global health crisis, which has affected 1,365,004 people worldwide till April 7, to the “plagues of Egypt”. Hogan shared a picture of himself on the social media platform that showed him leaning against a wall on which was written, “I AM THAT I AM” and at the end of it his name. It seemed like he was praying.

“Word up, can you handle the truth my brother only love HH. In three short months, just like He did with the plagues of Egypt, God has taken away everything we worship. God said, ‘you want to worship athletes, I will shut down the stadiums’,” the retired American professional wrestler wrote as he captioned his post.

He added: “‘You want to worship musicians, I will shut down Civic Centers. You want to worship actors, I will shut down theaters. You want to worship money, I will shut down the economy and collapse the stock market. You don't want to go to church and worship Me, I will make it where you can't go to church. If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land’."

“Maybe we don't need a vaccine, Maybe we need to take this time of isolation from the distractions of the world and have a personal revival where we focus on the ONLY thing in the world that really matters. Jesus,” Hogan said as he ended his post.

This was not the first time, the wrestling icon, who has had a lengthy list of personal problems, has made bizarre suggestions amid the pandemic. Recently, he got religious over the coronavirus on social media.

A few days ago, he shared a highlighted passage of the Bible on Instagram as he captioned it, “This is one of the most powerful gifts to our human race, it’s as powerful as it gets here on earth, thank you, God. Only love HH 2 Chronicles 7:13&14.”

While the highlighted passage read: “Whenever I hold back the rain or send locusts to eat up the crops or send an epidemic on my people if they pray to me and repent and turn away from the evil they have been doing, then I will hear them in heaven, forgive their sins, and make their land prosperous again.”

However, Hogan is not the only one who has shared Bible passages in the time of crisis. Kourtney Kardashian has also shared the same passage from the holy book, suggesting the coronavirus outbreak is God's way of punishing humankind for “evil” behavior.

The 40-year-old shared a passage from the Bible on her Instagram stories in March, which she highlighted, and wrote: “Pay attention children”. The passage, which is featured in the Book of Chronicles from the Old Testament, has been often cited by pastors and conspiracy theorists to signal the end of the world.
