'Worst Cooks in America' Season 20: Supermom Ari Robinson wins the show, goes home with $25,000

'Worst Cooks in America' Season 20 came to an end on tonight's (August 2) episode. Two 'Worst Cooks' recruits Zack Ignoffo from Chef Anne Burrell's team and Ari Robinson from Chef Alex Guarnaschelli's team were competing against each other. At the end of the final cook-off, supermom Ari was announced as the winner of this season.
For the final cook-off, both mentors were present in the kitchen guiding their mentees as they hustled in the 'Worst Cooks' kitchen for the very last time. At the end of the cook-off was a $25,000 grand prize and both the recruits were seen bringing in their A-game. Standing right behind them to cheer them up and help them if things appear to be going wrong were Guarnaschelli and Burrell hoping that their recruits secure the win. Ari looked really confident in the kitchen tonight and Guarnaschelli was time and again heard praising her mentee for the way she was working in the final cook-off. Chef Burrell looked a tad bit worried about Zack at certain points and more than her recruit, she seemed to appear to be highly pressured about how this was going to end. She has been on the show since the inception and won it 12 times with her recruits. However, she was confident at the same time because Zack had proved his mettle in the kitchen over many occasions in the past seven weeks since the season began.
The recruits were cooking a three-course meal for esteemed personalities from the culinary world: Mary Giuliani, Julian Rodarte and James Tahhan who were about to judge their dishes in a blind tasting. After all three courses were served, it was time for the judges to meet the people who prepared the food they just tasted before declaring the results. All three judges were of the opinion that both chefs presented dishes that were loaded with taste, were executed, and presented well and they did exhibit a level of technical difficulty. However, there could only be one winner and it was Ari who ended up as the winner. Not only did Ari win herself the grand prize, but she also earned bragging rights for 'Worst Cooks' first-timer, Chef Guarnaschelli and fans of the show flooded Twitter to congratulate both of the ladies on this win. Here are some of the tweets.
