Sunday night's episode (July 5) of 'Worst Cooks in America' was all about the recruits on the show rustling up some good ole' hearty Italian dishes. One skill challenge and two cooking challenges later, one recruit each was sent home from Team Blue and Team Red Rocking Stars.

For the skill test that they called 'Aromas from Roma', both teams participated in smell, taste, and touch challenge. At the end of it, the blue team was crowned the winner. Then came the cooking challenges and for the first one, all the recruits had to recreate the classic seafood antipasto dish that their mentors Chef Anne Burrell (Red) and Chef Alex Guarnaschelli (Blue) had created in front of them in a masterclass kind of a setting. Darian Barnes and Evan Baker from the Blue and Red teams respectively were the ones that left their mentors more unimpressed than the other contestants.

For the second challenge, the recruits had to create veal and chicken parmesan dishes. There were a lot of challenges that the contestants had to face here especially Zack Ignoffo from the Red team who was worried and stressed about getting hot oil on his body, ruining the 'symmetry' of his 'nips'. Then there was Eric Smart who is notorious for working at snail speed in the competition and his mentor Guarnaschelli always trying to lift up his morale. Some contestants also learned certain skills for the first time, for instance, Louisa Sharamatyan didn't know how to work her way around a can opener but she learned today. A special mention for Domaine Javier wearing that face shield while working in the kitchen. It might look extra on television but we just have to know that she's just way ahead of her time and prepared for the coronavirus before most people.

Moving on to results, Ari Robinson and Dolores Aguilar-Fernandez from the Blue and Red Team respectively, stood out to their mentors as "extra shiny" and were declared safe. Eric and Johannes "Yo" Phelps from Team Blue as well as Evan Baker and Denise Schroder from Team Red were the contestants in the bottom at the end of all the challenges and after careful consideration, Burrell and Guarnaschelli sent Denise and Yo home.

'Worst Cooks in America' airs Sunday nights at 9 pm ET only on Food Network.
