World Healing Day is celebrated annually on the last Saturday of April, which is on April 29 this year. It creates an opportunity for us to come together and helps us keep focusing on collective energy on healing and the planet. This is also a perfect day to learn and understand various types of healing techniques.

With Covid-19 and wars wreaking havoc across the globe, a day focusing on healing gathers more importance. On this day, you are welcome to engage yourself in activities that promote physical and mental health.

History of World Healing Day

In order to detect the effects of global consciousness on the physical system, the Global Consciousness Project was initiated as a parapsychology experiment in 1998. The event was mainly focused on experiencing the emotional reactions to world events like war and famine. The prominent concept of World Healing Day evolved from the following events such as World Tai Chi Day. 



 

In 1998, the Tai Chi Club of Kansas City, United States, innovated a celebration that offers medicinal benefits. This led to the establishment of World Tai Chi Day in 1999. As the years passed, various people and meditation groups and other organizations participated and created a new global event called 'World Healing Day'.

1. According to the World Health Organization, three billion people are using holistic medicines as their initial form of health care. 

2. There is an increase in the market for herbal medicines. So, it is projected to reach $178.4 billion by 2026. 

3. Chiropractic care is collaborating with other specialists like physical therapists and radiologists to enhance more comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
