'I can't eat watching them': Internet slams woman for statement while watching Oscar-nominated film
A woman was slammed on Reddit for saying that she "could not eat" while watching morbidly obese people. The Redditor said that she and her boyfriend were watching 'The Whale', which revolves around the character Charlie, played by Brendan Fraser, a reclusive and obese English teacher who hides out in his flat while eating his way to death.
In the now-deleted Reddit post, the woman wrote, "I've been watching the Whale recently. My boyfriend bought a huge plate with nachos and souce and casually eat it while watching the movie. How ever I just couldn't eat while watching morbidly obese main character."

'Have to be careful'
Continuing, the woman wrote, "I have sensitive stomack and have to be careful with what I eat and what I'm looking at while I'm eating (surroundings, movie etc). When I'm looking at something that isn't actually appelling (saliva, food leftovers etc) I wanna vomit. I'm also sensitive for smells and I hate greasy things," adding, "While watching the movie I came to conclusion that I just cannot eat while watching morbidly obese people (unhealthy food especially)."
The woman then references another scenario writing, "I've been thinking and realize that I have it similarily with Amberlynn Reid videos. YouTube recommends me her videos and sometimes I watch her hauls. Once I wanted to eat something sweet but I watched her video and eat a greek jogurt instead since after looking at her I could bare a thought of eating something unhealthy." She concluded, "I don't think it's fatfobia since I really don't give a f*ck about these people, it's their health yet I just can't look at them while eating and I found that interesting. So AITA?"
'That is 100% fatphobia'
Interent users slammed the woman and accused her of fat shaming. One user wrote, "There might be a mental block from something that occurred during key parts of your development. There is no actual victim here. For these reasons and more I chose NAH." "There's no interpersonal conflict here. Wrong sub. You are just encouraging fat shaming with this post. You can be grossed out by women, Jews, people of color, plus sized people, whatever, but you don't have to share about it on Reddit. Instead, work on yourself privately or with a therapist," another added. A third claimed, "Can you watch skinny people eat food you consider unhealthy? If you're at a restaurant and you see a fat person eating, do you lose your appetite or order a 'healthy' option because it makes you feel better? You need to take time and figure out what your issue with fat people eating is. Because being fat doesn't make you unhealthy just like being skinny doesn't mean you're healthy. Saying you're not fatphobic because you don't care about them, but that it's their health is fatphobic. YTA." Another added, "YTA That is 100% fatphobia." "YTA. You lack empathy and no one should give a f*ck about your feelings, just like you don't give a f*ck about fat people's," another wrote.
