Girl who was sexually assaulted by member of pedophile grooming gang forced to let her rapist see her child or face arrest
The woman was targeted by a member of the Telford grooming gang, who have been convicted of 'grooming' up to 1000 local children for sex between 2007 and 2009 in Telford.
In the ongoing revelations from the Telford child sexual exploitation scandal, it has been revealed that a rape victim who was abused by the gang of pedophiles at the age of 14, was threatened with jail time if she did not let her rapist see the child, she bore at the age of 15. The woman whose identity is protected and is being referred to as Alison, said that when she was a schoolgirl, she was targeted by a member of the Telford grooming gang, who have been convicted of “grooming” up to 1000 local children for sex between 2007 and 2009 in Telford in the English county of Shropshire. She got pregnant twice following the violent incidents, reports Mirror.
Her story rings similar to that of Sammy Woodhouse, who revealed a few days prior to this, that 43-year-old Arshid Hussain, who raped and impregnated her, had also threatened her similarly. He was given parental rights to see the boy they conceived, which Alison calls “an absolute disgrace,” considering the heinous crime he has committed.
Alison, who was targeted in the 1980s, says that using the “the thing I love most in the world” to manipulate her was just another method for the pedophiles to control her. “It was just another way of trying to control me,' she said. 'Despite the fact I'd repeatedly tried to tell police and social services what was going on, the court allowed him to see my child.”
Fearing jail time, Alison was forced to take her child to the contact center. She also reveals how she was forced into believing that keeping her child away from her rapist is wrong. “They made me feel like I was the one in the wrong. I was terrified I’d go to jail,” she said. Her trauma was so severe that she even passed it on to her child, who reportedly had nightmares for many years.

Despite her plight, the social services, police and a GP failed to listen to her. She had complained to the authorities that her abuser was a 19-year-old Pakistani man but in vain. She also alleged that she was asked to leave school over fears she was “setting a bad example” by having a baby at 15. The authorities did not intervene. He did not sign the birth certificate or share any parental responsibilities with her but continued to stalk, beat and rape her for more than two years.
“It seems like the rights of victims always come second to the rights of perpetrators,' the 48-year-old said. "The system re-traumatizes victims like me. It allows for further emotional abuse."
