Woman marries 20-year-old stepson she raised from age 7 after getting pregnant with his child and divorcing his dad
The pregnant Russian influencer, who went viral after in May after revealing that she was expecting a baby with her former stepson whom she had raised from the time he was seven, recently revealed that she was married to the father of her unborn child.
Marina Balmasheva, 35, who hails from the western Russian region of Krasnodar Krai, shared a video of her getting married to Vladimir "Vova" Shavyrin, 20, who was her student from the age of seven and also her stepson, at a local registry office. She was earlier married to Vladimir’s father, Alexey, 45. She lived with him for over 13 years before the relationship ended in divorce.
She also shared a picture of the couple on their special day along with a heart emoji, writing: "We drove to the registry office, I didn't even have a hairbrush with me. The rings were in the car. There was a good mood and a little embarrassment. After the registry office, we dressed in typical wedding attire and enjoyed a nice reception at a local restaurant with several guests. We are expecting a baby and we now want to move to a bigger city."
Her followers already knew that she was expecting a baby with Vladimir as she had announced the news of her pregnancy back in June by sharing a video of the moment they both found out the news. In the video, she told her followers that she was "done hiding" her pregnancy from the world, revealing she was four weeks pregnant. “I know the term is short yet, and that the ultrasound with the heart is ahead. But I want you to know it. Everything is possible in this world," she said. The couple is planning to get married next month but “won't have a lavish celebration”.
In her most recent update, she also admitted that she was not on speaking terms with her ex-husband. "I think he does not like what we have done," she said. Marina’s ex-husband came to know about her relationship with his son after hearing them have sex in their family home. “I could not fall asleep one night when I heard them having sex. Then I understood that Marina was cheating on me with my son. In a few minutes, she just came and lay down next to me. I didn’t tell her a word that night,” Alexey said on a Russian talk show 'On Air' in March. He added that his former wife “seduced” his son, as “Vova is not capable of that. He had not had a girlfriend before her. They were not shy to have sex while I was at home. I would have forgiven her cheating if it wasn't my son.”
It was reported that Marina and Vladimir fell in love after he returned home on a break from university when he was 19 and helped his then-stepmother around the house, doing chores, taking care of his siblings, and running errands. Marina denied the claims by Alexey and said she began a relationship with Vladimir only after she split from his father. She also denied having sex in their family home.
In the same program, she said she never loved Alexey and denied they had ever "been close". “All I was interested in the last couple of years was food, I got fat and wanted to die of such a life,” she said.
In May she posted a picture of herself with her lover, who in the picture was seven years old alongside a snap of them together now. “You never know how life will turn out and when you will meet a person who makes you smile. I know that some will judge us, others will support us, but we are happy and wish you to be as well,” Marina said in the Instagram post.
