Will ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise see Orlando Bloom’s Will Turner return to big screen?
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA : Orlando Bloom, who played Will Turner in Pirates of the Caribbean, says he would welcome the chance to play the dashing blacksmith-turned-pirate again. Orlando Bloom first played Will Turner in 'Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl' in 2003. He later played the character again in three additional installments, and if he had his way, he'd like to bring Will Turner back for yet another adventure in the series.
The franchise's future is a little hazy since there are a number of potential directions that are anticipated to be taken by the show in the future. However, since the show's creators are keeping quiet about these adventures, it is unclear if there will be a chance for Will Turner to make a comeback.

"I wouldn't mind seeing what Will looked like today"
"Oh, gosh, you know, I did get to go back and play Legolas in The Hobbit, which was 10 years later. I was like, 'This is a lot of fun!'" Bloom shared with Parade about characters he would like to play again. "Because he's such a great space to be in, and I think Will -- I mean, Will's so great. I wouldn't mind seeing what Will looked like today in some ways, because he was such this earnest guy, but after rumbling around the bottom of the ocean for as long as he would have done at this point, it'd be interesting to see how he surfaces and what he's like."
Who is Will Turner?
Will Turner was the lone kid born to Bootstrap Bill Turner and his unknown wife. Will Turner was a skilled blacksmith by trade, a master swordsman by passion, and a future pirate by destiny. During multiple exploits with Captain Jack Sparrow, Will accepted his ancestry as a pirate while pursuing his own objectives. Will does his hardest to follow the social class system, but he learns that certain rules are meant to be broken.
With the debut of that most recent sequel, rumors started to circulate that Margot Robbie would be taking the helm of a new film with a stronger emphasis on female roles. Yet while also hinting that the Robbie-starring movie was still in the works, producer Jerry Bruckheimer acknowledged that it would probably be a different continuation of the franchise that will be realized first.
