Is Simmons joining the 'Real Housewives' franchise?

Previously, speaking with Entertainment Tonight, the Baby Phat founder had revealed, "Different producers call me all the time, people call me to be a part of their show all the time," when asked about joining the ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.’

She went on to explain her hesitation by sharing, “But here’s what I just don’t understand, I don’t watch TV, are they mean to each other? Are they rude to each other? Because the clips I’ve seen, the things I’ve heard, they’re kind of fight-y.”

She continued by saying that she loves the women on the show but doesn’t know how she feels about being a part of the show as the narrative can be edited. "I like Kyle [Richards], I like Kathy [Hilton], I like Garcelle [Beauvais], I like these women. But are they going to invite you to a dinner party and then edit it to look a certain way… ‘Cause honey, I’m not the one,” she explained. Additionally, she claimed that she didn’t feel comfortable about the “fake, produced for-ratings drama.”

In the same conversation with Entertainment Tonight, the mom of five explained what she wants to add to the world in her ideal reality role, “I want to compel people, teach people, inspire people, uplift them. I want to show them how to be bad b’s, how to look great, feel great, manage everything, and fall apart if you have to, but get back up and keep going.”

But when she asked again about joining the ‘Real Housewives’ universe, she revealed that she had been asked to join “every season” by the Bravo producers. Although she has never said yes, it’s not a hard “no” either.

Simmons added, “I don’t know, I would take a meeting. Maybe I should take a meeting…because I do love all those women, but no one is going to promise that it won’t be produced catty, we’ll see.”

But now, after being motivated by her fans, Simmons has admitted that she’s “thinking” about it. Well, we certainly hope that her decision is positive!

Kimora Lee Simmons' family

If Simmons does decide to join the Bravo reality show, the model will have to give the world a peek into her family life. The New York-based beauty is a mother of two 13-year-old sons Gary and Kenzo, a 7-year-old son Wolfe and daughters Aoki and Ming, aged 20 and 22 respectively. The model shares Ming and Aoki with ex-husband Russell Simmons, son Kenzo with ex-partner Djimon Hounsou, and son Wolfe with husband Tim Leissner. She adopted Gary in 2020.

Her husband, Tim Leissner, an investment banker and former managing director of Goldman Sachs, is famous for orchestrating the biggest financial scandal in history - 1Malaysia Development Berhad scandal. Currently, he is waiting for the sentencing which is said to take place in 2023. Leissner married Simmons in 2013 while he was still married to ex-Judy Chan. He photoshopped documents to make her believe he was divorced.
