Will Jana Duggar be jailed? Josh Duggar's sister pleads GUILTY to child endangerment
Jana Duggar's child endangerment case has been settled after the '19 Kids and Counting' star pled guilty to a third-degree count of endangering the welfare of a minor in Arkansas. Jana Duggar reportedly entered her plea on December 15. Jana had to pay a total of $880 fines and fees, $100 of which went towards a Child Victim Crime Fee.
About four months ago, Jana received a citation for endangering the welfare of a minor on September 9, a court document confirmed. She had initially pleaded not guilty to the charge. News of Jana's charge surfaced in December just a day after her brother Josh Duggar was convicted of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material.

Jana had said that she was babysitting when one of her kids accidentally went out through the front door unnoticed. Somebody noticed the child outside and called police, and Jana was subsequently ticketed. Jana broke her silence on the case a few days later, writing in her Instagram story "I'm only sharing this because the media has been having a field day with it all. I prefer a more private life, but I know my last name means that everything we do is open to public criticism and interest, especially during this time."
"I was babysitting a few months ago when one of the children wandered outside alone. A passerby who saw the child called the police," she wrote. "This resulted in a written citation, as well as a follow-up with child welfare who concluded that it was an accident and the child was unharmed."
"They recognized it was a case of a child slipping out of the house when you turn your back for a moment. It all happened so quickly and was scary. I am grateful for law enforcement and those who protect and serve our community," she added. "I was certainly never arrested like some may have implied. In the end, I was just upset at myself that it had happened at all but so thankful it all ended safely and that's truly what mattered most to me."
In December 2021, Josh Duggar, Jana's brother, was taken into police custody after being found guilty of possessing and receiving child sexual abuse material. Josh, who rose to fame from his family's TLC show called '19 Kids and Counting', was arrested on April 29. Cops had allegedly seized Josh's HP laptop from his office while raiding his Arkansas car dealership in 2019. Looking for illegal downloads, cops allegedly found child abuse material hidden deep inside a hard drive.
