Josh Duggar's cousin Amy Duggar King has commended the conviction of her cousin, who was found guilty of one count each of receiving and possessing child pornography on Thursday, December 9. After the verdict, the US Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas, Clay Fowlkes, said in a statement, “This verdict also demonstrates that no person is above the law. Regardless of wealth, social status, or fame, our office will continue to seek out all individuals who seek to abuse children and victimize them through the downloading, possession, and sharing of child pornography.”

The television personality’s sentencing will be done in about four months, US District Judge Timothy Brooks said. It has been reported that he will probably face up to 20 years behind bars and fines of up to $250,000 for each count. And, now that Josh is awaiting the punishment, his cousin Amy tweeted, “May the juror’s and Judge Brooks seek healing / counseling from all that was exposed to them. May the children grow up with real Godly men as father figures who will guide and protect them. May the people who were once in disbelief have their eyes opened for the first time.”

In another tweet, she wrote: “May the daughters who were abused feel validated. You are truly beautiful and worthy of love. May there be intense counseling/healing. May there be wisdom for all those involved on how to move forward. Thank you Jesus. Justice has been served."

Amy, unlike other Duggar family members, has been very vocal about her stand against Josh who was arrested in April this year. She had also clarified that she did not know about the crimes her cousin committed as a teenager. When on November 30, the process of choosing jurors started, she took to her Instagram Story and wrote, “Today is a heavy day. This whole week will be. Next week will be too. Until justice is served.”

In another social media Story, she cited Romans 12:19 while stating, “Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord, I will repay thee. Please pray for the victims and for the truth to be revealed. Pray that the judge will give the ultimate sentence.” Also on December 8 when Jill Duggar's husband Derick Dillard shared on Twitter: “Praying for justice this morning,” Amy replied, “Praying as well. Lord may justice be served ice cold.” “JUSTICE FOR THE CHILDREN,” she added in another post.

This comes after May, when Amy spoke with Today and slammed her cousin. The 34-year-old mother of one said: “I will just say that whatever you do in the darkness comes out in the light. If you’re going to look at such disgusting and sickening images, justice has to be served.” She also referred to the seriousness of the charges against the 33-year-old as she noted: “There’s a Bible verse that says it’s better to hang a millstone around your head and jump into the ocean than to hurt one of these precious little ones.”

Reportedly, Amy has cut herself off from the majority of the Duggars as she did not like their “ultraconservative way”. In a September Instagram post, she even shared a picture of balloons that read, “It's okay to cut off toxic family for your own well being.” She captioned the photo as “Amen & Amen. It’s not easy, but necessary.” Later, she told HollywoodLife about it and said, “I 100% stand for that message. I have created those boundaries in our life to protect Daxton and to protect myself.”
