ATHENS, GREECE: 'Below Deck Mediterranean' Season 9 Episode 9 delved deeper into the ongoing tensions between stews Elena "Ellie" Dubaich and Bri Muller. The two continued to butt heads over various responsibilities on board, including laundry tasks and cabin upkeep.
The simmering feud between them, exacerbated by their shared interest in deckhand Joe Bradley, reached a breaking point in this episode. Captain Sandy Yawn stepped in, issuing a stern ultimatum to the feuding stews: either resolve their conflicts and focus on their work, or face the consequences of being asked to leave the show.
"Let me give you the big picture. We're here to do a job and we have to have respect the workplace. Now if you two can't work together I can't just let go one. I have to let go both because I don't know the full story and neither does Aesha. She hears your side and she hears your side," Sandy told both the stews.
Sandy added, "I'm here to make sure that you can fix it and continue to do your job. Can you guys do that?" to which Bri replied, "I don't think so because we both tried and it's just impossible.Today I felt like Ellie didn't have my back cause when I came after my break she purposely didn't do the cabins."
Sandy asked Ellie, "Why didn't you do the cabins?" to which Ellie responded, "Captain Sandy I had a lot of work here."
Soon after, Bri chimed in, "What Ellie? I'm sorry. What Ellie? No."
The two stews persisted in their argument, much to the chagrin of Captain Sandy. They seemed unable to come to a resolution and their voices grew louder as they debated in front of her.
"Do not. Cause this will make me mad. Everyone here is irreplaceable. You will be on the ferry going back. You both," Sandy said.
