Though former President Donald Trump has lost the 2020 presidential election, it seems he is not going to retire soon. Recently, when he was walking off the golf course in Florida, a passerby reportedly thanked him for his four years in the White House, to which Trump replied he has not “finished yet”. A report by Trending Politics stated that the man told the Republican, “Mr. President, thank you for your service sir" and Trump responded, “Thank you, we haven’t finished yet." After that, the man who captured the conversation added, “Good, good!” while another one cheered, “Exactly!”

On Thursday, January 28, Trump had a meeting with House minority leader Kevin McCarthy in Florida to discuss their next political steps, which suggests that he is still interested in another term or politics in general. The summary of the meeting stated: “The meeting between President Donald J Trump and House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, was a very good and cordial one. They discussed many topics, number one of which was taking back the House in 2022. President Trump’s popularity has never been stronger than it is today, and his endorsement means more than perhaps any endorsement at any time. President Trump has agreed to work with Leader McCarthy on helping the Republican Party to become a majority in the House. They worked very well together in the last election and picked up at least 15 seats when most predicted it would be the opposite. They will do so again, and the work has already started.” In addition, the 74-year-old opened the “Office of the Former President” meant to “carry on the agenda of the Trump Administration through advocacy, organizing and public activism”.

The photo of Trump and McCarthy’s meeting was also shared on Twitter with several of the 45th president’s supporters commenting to express their thoughts on it. One user said, “I want to see what his comeback will be. As he said in 2016 what do we have to lose?” The second user commented, “it's great to see my President!” “Hell yeah!! Trump isn't going away,” the third tweeted. “#POTUS45 looks GREAT!! His beaming smile, power suit, silk yellow tie, shined shoes =looking darn fine, while still working his usual hard self for America, from his stunningly gorgeous home in Florida. @GOPLeader what is up with your choice in shoes?” the fourth user added.

However, not everyone was happy to see Trump and to know about his future endeavors as one person tweeted, “‘His popularity has never been stronger than it is today’ they say of the twice impeached former one-term president coming off of a defeat where he then threw a two month tantrum that cost the GOP the senate. Good luck with all that.”

Another one wrote, “Proud to be endorsed by the only president in history to get impeached twice, lose the election, and incited a riot that beat a cop to death. Quality man right there.” The third user joked, “Lol the @GOP lost the House, the Presidency & the Senate because of trump but sure bring him along. We have no problem in seeing the GOP lose again.” “WTF is wrong with the GOP.  I can't support this loyalty to one man who lied multiple times per day while in office,” the fourth person added.
