MONTREAL, CANADA: 'The Bachelor' Season 28 star Jess Edwards faced a brutal elimination after the group date. She confessed to Joey Graziadei that she was "falling in love" with him. Joey appreciated Jess's confession but admitted he couldn't see a future together. He turned down Jess, saying, "To hear you say that makes me feel so good," he told her. "The problem I’m having is, I don’t know why I just haven’t been able to get there."

Jess's elimination followed a "bullying" scandal with Maria Georgas. The accusations surfaced after Jess confronted Maria for allegedly stealing Joey, despite already having a rose. Jess called Maria "disrespectful" and even referred to her as a "b**ch." Despite the mess Jess created on the ABC show, fans still believe Joey was a little harsh on her. One said, "Poor Jess that was brutal. We’ve all been there ladies." Another laughed while claiming, "Jess telling Joey she’s falling for him and then he sends her home .. brutal." 

"i don't even like jess but i felt bad, that rejection was brutal," tweeted another. "As much as i am not a Jess fan… damn that was BRUTAL," a fan condoned Joey's step. Another praised him, "joey is so iconic. jess confessing her love for him and he just sends her home. he is DELIVERING."

One tweeted, "Jess thinking the sympathy card was gonna work on Joey but instead he sent her a** packin’."

Jess confessed that witnessing other women getting the opportunity to spend quality time with Joey while not having the same chance was challenging for her. In a confessional, she expressed, "I’m tired of these group dates, and I’m struggling to understand why I haven’t had a one-on-one."

Further revealing her sentiments, Jess admitted that merely getting a group date was not enough for her to feel special. "It’s hard because on a one-on-one, I feel amazing, but in group settings, I feel forgotten," she added. Reflecting on her sense of isolation, she said, "Today it really hit me how real this is, and my heart is on the line."

After Joey eliminated Jess, he reassured her, saying, "You did nothing." Jess was left in tears, unable to comprehend the situation and feeling "stupid."

After last week's episode, Jess shared an apology note on Instagram. Addressing her and Maria's feud over Joey's time, she wrote, "In regards to Tuesday's episode, it was definitely a hard watch. In the moment I was upset about losing time on multiple occasions due to drama."

Jess confessed that she let "emotions and anger" build up. "I do not condone bullying, name calling, etc. and apologies were made immediately," Jess said as per Screenrant. She went on to confess that it was hard for her to watch back the episodes.

'The Bachelor' Season 28 premiered on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 8:00 pm ET on ABC.
