Why was Derek arrested?
Derek and Monique were absent from the most recent episode of 'Life After Lockup', which disappointed fans. They have had a turbulent partnership, to be sure. Derek was finally going to be with his outside love after nearly a decade in prison. He and Monique had become friends while he was imprisoned. She also sent him everything he could possibly want or need. They did, however, live in very distinct ways. She was overweight, whereas he was extremely health aware, so when she encountered him after his release, she was concerned.
Furthermore, Monique had no rapport with Derek's sisters. On social media, they ridiculed her weight and made light of her. It became extremely heated, but Derek chose Monique. Unfortunately, he resided in Ohio, and she lived in Illinois, so she had to leave him behind for a short period. He was unfaithful and had been having an affair with another woman behind Monique's back. Because she was able to pardon him, they progressed from Love to Life After Lockup.
Now, it appears that the pair is still going strong, but Derek has returned to where they began. Derek was detained on Tuesday, March 28th, according to @merrypants. He was charged with Felonious Assault as he was exiting an eatery. Furthermore, Monique appears to have been present, but she was in a vehicle waiting for her lover. Derek did not remain behind bars for long because he made the $10,000 bail, despite the fact that Monique was known to lavish him with gifts. As a result, she could have been the one who secured the bond.

Monique's sister defends Derek
Derek's girlfriend, Monique Robinson, most likely bailed him out because she was not the victim of his attack, as Monique's sister verified on social media.
"Y’all know Derek ain’t go to jail for fighting Monique. He walked in and walked right back out. Smiling on his mugshot, so stop asking me if he got locked up for fighting her." She penned down.
Derek had already spent a decade in prison and was scheduled to appear on 'Life After Lockup' with his partner Monique. His beaming mug photo elicited humorous comments on social media following his arrest.

Derek, on the other hand, was detained again in Ohio for the felonious attack. According to reports, Monique helped him obtain a $10,000 bond and his release from prison.
